What is your favorite genre(s) of stories? Either real, touchable books or online novels. The genres are can be based off of if you like to read stories of that(those) genre(s) or write them. That is also why it isn't in the Reader's thread.... or the Writer's thread.


Edit: Due to many complaints about some not being genres....


What types of Medium do you prefer to read in, and if so, in what genre?

Touchable books? Fantasy.

Webnovels? I am a sucker for LitRPG.

Never brought a LitRPG book. Who knows why. But I love my hardcover fantasy books as if they are my babies. And fantasy is the best genre ever to me.

Edit: I voted before reading it properly and completely skipped over the fantasy option. I am a idiot.​

No, graphic novels and comics are genres. Just like how poetry is a genre, graphic novels & comics are, too.

Fantasy the most. With some romance added in. But contemporary I've read less than fantasy ones, but its nice once in awhile, I think.

I thought poetry was a form, but not genre...

Comic/graphic novels, poetry, etc. those are forms of works we read. I agree with the person up above.

They're technically Not genres - they can come in many types of genres though.

Like if I wrote a dark horror poem. The genre is not poem, but "horror."

Ofc, how its viewed and listed on SH may differ i guess.
