Adventurer's Guild - Quest Board

Introduction
Looking for something to do? You've come to the right place!​
In the Adventurer's Guild, we have two types of quests. Guild Quests are sponsored and paid for by the Adventurer's Guild and local government. Custom Quests are sponsored by other players and random NPCs.​
By taking and completing quests, you can gain EXP, money, and other rewards.​

Taking Quests
  • Do not take quests with a level requirement higher than your character's level.
  • Pay attention to the location where the quest is posted. Is your character in the right area to take the quest?
  • Most guild quests are repeatable, unless otherwise stated.
  • Go to the reception desk to write and post your quest report.

Creating Custom Quests

Anyone can create a custom quest~! If you have an idea, go right ahead and post in this thread!​
Custom Quests should include the following information:​
  • Title:
  • Sponsor:
  • Location:
  • Required Level:
  • Tag List: List of players who want to be notified when a quest report is submitted
  • Objectives:
  • Description:
  • Rewards:
    • EXP: ?
    • Money: ?
    • Something else?
Q: Who can sponsor my custom quest?
  • Your character can sponsor the custom quest.
  • You can make up an NPC to sponsor the custom quest.
  • You can have the Guild sponsor the quest, if you believe that the Guild would want to sponsor it.
Q: How do I get ideas for a custom quest?
  • If you read quest reports at the reception desk, often there are loose plot threads that can be explored further.
  • Honestly... anything, you know? It can be as big or small as you want.
  • E.g. Farmer Joe needs to cross the river, but the bridge is broken.
Q: What should the required level be?
  • Read this power level guide.
  • Think about how strong of an NPC character would be needed to clear your quest.
  • If the required power level is too high for anyone to take, maybe you need to make your quest easier.
Q: Where should the quest be located?
  • Check the regional Guild Quest board (below).
  • Every region has a rough level cap:
    • Scribel Region is the "beginner forest" region with a level ~8 cap.
    • We are still waiting for more regions to be discovered.
  • If your plot gets too difficult for the region, please try to guide the plot thread to another region.
    • Example: Cultists were discovered in Scribel City, but their main headquarters are in XXXX region.
    • Example: Zombies were discovered in the sewers, but their necromancer fled to XXXX region.
    • Example: Dragons flew over Scribel City! ...They kidnaped Princess Q and fled to XXXX region.
  • Relocating plots to other regions is essential to prevent Scribel City from literally exploding from dozens of crazy ideas.
  • Please keep in mind that Level 1 Adventurers still need to live in Scribel City...
Q: What should the reward be?
  • Check the Guild Quest board for quests at a similar level.
  • Custom quests should give roughly a similar amount of EXP / gold as official guild quests.
Q: What do I do after someone takes my quest?
  • If it is a non-repeatable quest, please strikethrough your quest to indicate it is no longer available.
  • If it is a multi-part quest, update your post with links to the quest reports with new information.

Of course, there will be monsters as you make your journey through Gem's Ravine. How will you handle them?​

At the end of the canyon, please climb Bighorn Mountain. A colony of Giant Kukuu Birds make their nests close to the peak. Kukuu Birds are known to kidnap eggs from other species and raise them as their own, so you'll find all sorts of random creatures wandering the mountain. Please retrieve an egg from a Giant Kukuu Nest and escape with it. You better keep it intact, or else you fail!

Description
I'm going to ask something of you that you might think is insane.

The snakes have overrun our last line of defenses in the tunnels, and they are spilling into the Abandoned District by the hundreds. If the Hydra's minions get any further than this point, it will be open warfare on in the upper levels of Gelderholm. It will be utter chaos and bloodshed. We cannot afford to lose this cavern, and we must make a final stand here.

Sealing the exit might be our conventional strategy, but there is no external access point for our sappers to plant a bomb. Furthermore, the enemy has scores of tunneling worms with them, and they will dig through any unguarded rockslide with ease.

However, there is still one opportunity. If a team of warriors fought their way into the Abandoned District and detonated a bomb manually, you might be able to seal yourself inside the district along with those snakes. This will buy us precious time for our engineers to locate the original breach point and cut off their reinforcements. You will need to prioritize slaying any tunneling monsters so they do not dig through the rubble.

...For how long...? Well... optimistically... eight hours. Pessimistically, twenty-four. Survive the continuous onslaught, and our engineers will search for the breach point. I'm truly sorry if I can't give anything more concrete. Please last as long as you can.

—What? You think this is a suicide mission? You're not wrong. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Most of you will die. But you're also our strongest and bravest, and if you don't draw your weapons now — who else will?

    Locations:
    Western Farmlands - Where the chimera was first encountered and where Almodeus Thompson was slain
    Chimera Cave - Located in the north-western forests, right before Slimecreak
    • The chimera was followed and slayed here by Vor Saknave
    • Decorated with hundreds of skeletons
    • Has a chamber with a demonic blood red circle on the ground
    • Small back room had desks, tables, mysterious vials/flasks and papers written in an undecipherable language
    • A note was found here suspecting that the kobolds in the northern mountains(in a cave) were behind this

Description: After adventurer Vor Saknave took the slime extermination quest, he found multiple corpses in his search. This concerned the guild as no report of these corpses exists, who were these people and who could have put them there? The guild asks you to investigate for information that could help solve this case. Talk with Saknave for more information on the location of the corpses.

Rewards:

  • EXP: 300
  • Money: 5-30 G (depending on the importance of the information and the amount of effort required)

Description: Hello, since I live near the outskirts of the city my children often play by the river bank. Recently, they've let me know that there's a 'weird glowy thing' under the surface of the water. They led me to the area and there was indeed a strange glow visible, though difficult to see in broad daylight. Can you investigate what it is? I don't feel safe letting my children near it so I've banned them from going near the river.
