"Fire! Keep shooting! Aim for the head!"

"It's no use! They're swallowing the arrows as soon as they make contact!

Atop the walls, the guard captain was shouting, the archers pulling their bows in coordinated firing, despite the ineffectiveness of that method. The tide was pressing ever closer.

"Hold them here! They must not be allowed to make it into the city!"

"Fumu, so that's why the bells were ringing."

"---Hah?"

The guard captain recoiled when he noticed an unfamiliar lady standing next to him. He'd definitely never seen her before, and as if understanding his confusion, she smiled and tipped her headpiece.

"Just your average passerby. You're a guard, yes? in that case, may I enquire how I am to locate the floating gate that's under attack?"

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

He recovered fairly well.

"We don't have a floating gate...but if you're talking about a gate that's under attack, this is one of them."

"Ah, I see. Then, have a good day."

Disappointed, Ellania flapped her wings and took off.

( Adventurer tavern )

Midday

Reciful went inside the tavern to order a one glass of Milkshake which she recently been fond of.

[ Hello~ one MilkShake please~ ] She said as she sit at the Taverns Counter.

For some reason everyone around is very busy & Panicking?.... The atmosphere in the city is tense.

After haft an hour waiting.... No one answered her Order.

[ Hey! You kid! why are just sitting there!!? ] A Veteran Adventurer call out to Reciful who is casually sitting still waiting for her drink.

[ Eh ]

[ Stop Daydreaming already Kid!! Evacuate now!! did you not hear the alarm bell!! A slime Horde is coming!! Move out now!! ]

[ Slime horde?... But... My milkshake? ]

[ What! Milk what!!? F**k that! no one gonna cook for ya! everyone is Evacuating due to the slime horde! No one will cook!! everyone is busy running the Tavern staffs were long ago evacuated! ]

* Sound of falling coins *

[..................Eh? ] with a dumbfounded smile on her face Reciful is stunned in shock. On her mind.

No cooks, everyone is on the run, No one will cook. Because of slime everyone is Evacuating, Because of slimes no one will cook, Which means... no Milkshake.
no milkshake~
...no milkshake~

Lily POV:

I'd just gotten back into town after negotiating with Basilgaraad along with Manyvat. Yet, people were running away from the town? What's going on? I really wanted to go back for Appa to look at the town from the skies, yet that was only possible if he was still around. Instead, I found a hawk nearby and called to it. At times like these it really paid to know how to communicate with animals.

Due to the possible lack of time, I was risking my energy for the day. I casted two spells on the hawk. Beast Bond, which let me communicate with the hawk from a distance via telepathy, and Beast Sense so that I could look through its eyes whenever I needed to. I didn't know where I might be needed to help, so having eyes in the sky along with fast movement would save me. I was exhausted afterwards, though, so it didn't help too much.

Yet, when I looked down from the sky, I was glad I exerted more than I could handle. Slimes of all shapes, colors, and sizes flowed toward the center of the city, barely being contained at the southeastern wall. Some were trying to get around it, though, and the adventurers there were doing the best they could to prevent the chaos from reaching the city. As I looked closer, though, I noticed that a few did manage to get through the wall. Silently thanking the bird, I ran to the adventurer's guild to see if there was anyway I could help to relay information to others since I have a bird's eye view of the city right now. I wasn't much useful otherwise since I was exhausted from casting my spells.

Phantasm POV:

I was originally going to head out to hunt some rabbits to help out around the guild and raise my rank, but by the time I got to the door I heard screams as people were running to the northwest of town. Sighing to myself, I ran quickly toward the southeast to see what was going down. As I passed through, the closer I got to the wall the less people I saw. I also sporadically ran into some sewer slimes that were crawling out of their sewers. I sliced one up with my scythe, but it only put itself back together. It almost seemed like it had more than one core...which would be very problematic if that was the case.

Changing my grip around my scythe, I carefully aimed at the second core. It broke upon impact, and soon the slime melted into a puddle. Scared of the possible implications of the mutated slimes, I checked to see if I would encounter any more. I did. When I sliced it in two without breaking a core, the slime multiplied. Thinking how dangerous that would be, I hurried to the southeastern wall to see if there was anything I could do to help. At the very least I could be a meat shield to prevent any danger befalling anyone else.

She didn't want to do this. It was filthy. She refused to do it.

Taking control of the sewer water would give her a large body mass to manipulate. The problem with that was the various impurities like the excrement and all kind of filth would be filling her body. She refused to do it. Yet, a part of her mind keep saying that it was the only way she could fight during this moment. She could cave the ground above the water sewer, and let the slime horde enter from that. At that point, the amount of surface she had to attack would be multiplied.

She refused to do it, and left.

---

Experiment number 1.

She extended a needle made of ice from her hand. If she could gain control of the water in the body of a slime, she could simply freeze their body. It pierced one of them, the one with a clear body.

It succeeded. She froze it and halted its movement. The slime she froze then immediately swallowed up by another of its kind, and she felt her connection broken. She turned the remaining ice needle into water and retract it.

---

Experiment number 2.

She extended two ice needle, each targeting the clear bodied slime. As it pierced both, she transfer the energy from the freezing of the first slime to heating the second slime. It seemed that this way was more effective, yet one frozen slime was not enough to heat it in meaningful way. The frozen one was immediately consumed, and her connection broken. For the heated one, she needed to target more, as it immediately broke the needle with some kind of acid.

Three to one. Three frozen, clear one was sufficient to heat one slime until the water in its body evaporated.
---

Experiment number 3

Since the clear bodied one was mostly made of water, she tried to control it to form an ice spear inside its body to pierce into its core. She managed to make it, thrusting the ice spear outward. Channeling the water, she tried to hit the slime around it by making ice spike around its body. Her connection then broken when some of them attacked the ice needle she had.

on average, two to three slime could be killed for each ice needle.

---

Her attack continued in that manner, until she felt her water diminished so much that it had became dangerous. If only there was a way to put a large body of water in front of her, she could take control of it. As it was right now, she desperately needed a replenishment for her water.

She left the battlefield to the river in the south.

I was happily farming with my friend, Zebidiah (Zeb) , when we heard the loud bell's ring. We didn't really give it much attention. What did catch our attention was the amount of slimes that had started popping up. They weren't the slimes native to the farm lands either. There were sewer slimes, soot slimes, even some rock slimes!

Zeb and I quickly alerted the nearby Farmers and urged them to head towards the city to seek shelter. Those that refused to do so Zeb tied up and forcefully put into a wooden wagon.

"We don't have time for these silly arguments.", He yelled.

I ended up escorting, and carting the farmers towards Scribel. Under Zeb's leadership, we managed to stay hidden and avoided many unnecessary battles. We reached Scribel without any casualties, and safely found refuge for all the farmers.

(Does it count if it was people in the farm area?)

Till Wallner - South Walls

The moment the alarm got sounded, I immediately rushed to the southern walls while giving my family instructions on what they should do. Honestly, it's pretty simple. Get to the shelter, and should the wall fall and danger come close, consider leaving the city to the north-west. But right now, I don't have any time for that.

Right now, I am standing on the wall, wildly tossing rocks into the slime horde with my sling - with decent success. I hit a slime's core every now and then, and it takes them quite a while to destroy rocks. But as the slimes keep coming, I can't help but feel like this will go on forever if we don't do anything.

"Does anyone have a plan!?" I shout while desperately flinging rock after rock into the slime horde. In the distance, I can spot the giant purple... thing slowly approaching the city. If that thing arrives, things are gonna get worse. Wasn't there anything...? Right!

Doesn't the horde have a leader? This strange, small blue blob? I take cover as a spray of water from a river slime splashes against the wall and over me into the city, harmless by the time it hits the ground behind the wall. Then, I shout out my plan:

"We gotta get their leader! That strange small blue slime! If anyone sees it, killing it should disperse the slimes!"

She returned to the guild. After finding her attack to be only highly effective against the river slime, she returned to the library to read more about them. Opening the entry about slime give her something to note.

Some of them were weak to the alkaline substance. That meant she could help deliver any kind of those things, as long as the substance dissolved in the water. If the adventurer guild had prepared them, she would be able to float above them and deliver them either in the form of water mist, rain, or just throw it as a large body of water, as her hydrokinesis let her. Meanwhile, for the moment, she willed the water that made up her body to self-ionize, making her limb more concentrated with OH- and her body to majorly consist of H3O+. At least, this way she would test whether the ice needle she had would be more harmful.

Making a note to the guild receptionist, she left to the southern wall.

Watery - South walls
Hearing the suggestion, Watery went above. The ice needle she used was the most efficient option to her, but it was broken so easily, disrupting her control to the water inside the slime. Thus, this time she prepared to use more of her mass to create a thicker one.

She was thankful, really, for the river slime to supply her with a source of water. The water attack they use was absorbed, becoming a part of her body. Nevertheless, the amount was a pittance compared what she needed. Transforming her left hand to an ice spear, she grabbed it with her right hand. She solidified it into ice and flew above the slime horde, searching for the blue one. As she found one, she threw it.

It pierced the blue slime. She didn't know if her attack would be effective against it. Hopefully when the spear dissolved into water, she could damage it a second time using the alkaline property of the water.

With that, she returned to the wall once again, looking for river slime to snipe.

As Spring runs towards the nearest village, we hear screams for help nearby. Spring quickly rushes towards the screams and we see a group of slimes attacking a group of people. Gobo and I dismount from Spring and quickly go to protect the group from the slimes.

After the battle, we calm down the group and ask them what happened. A young man comes forward and begs us to go save his father and the other men. I looked over the group of people again and I noticed that the group was mostly made of women and young children. I tell the young man that I will try my best to save his father and the other men. The young man thanks me and points towards the direction of his village to me.

"Okay, you take the rest of the group back to Scribel. The path I took should be safe for now" I say to the young man

The young man thanks me and leaves towards Scribel, while I head towards the direction the young man pointed at.

--------
As we approach a clearing, I can hear the sound of fighting close by. We were getting close to the village, I tell Spring to go faster. I can finally see the village, I also see a few men with their make-shift weapons fighting off the slimes. Just as a slime was about to land an attack on a villager, I quickly cast a Light Barrier around the villager. As the slime bounces off my Light Barrier, Gobo and I dismount from Spring and we start to take care of the slimes.

After dealing with the slimes near the entrance of the village, we were told by one of the men that some of the villagers were trapped in the Chief's house by the slimes. I tell the men that Spring and I will distract the slimes surrounding the Chief's house, so that they would have an opening to get the villagers inside to safety. I tell Gobo too lead the rescue, since he was the only one equiped to do so, and once so, to lead the villagers back the same safe path we took to get here. As the group of men and us see the surrounded Chief house, I tell them it's time."If you see an opening take it. Gobo stay safe and take care of the villagers, Spring and I will meet up on the way" I concluded.

"3...2...1 Go Spring!" I yell

Spring rushes and circle's the outer perimeter of the surrounding of slimes. I cast a weaker version of my Light Needles. Multiple of small balls of light float up into the air of the surrounding slimes and upon reaching the needed height, break into hundreds of small needles and attack the slimes. The damage I dealt was negligible, but it looks like I got the attention of most of the slimes, as they crawl forward to Spring and I. Spring leads them away from the Chief's House, while I relentlessly attack the incoming slimes with my spear. Attack and attack and attack, the slimes were endless. Spring was fast enough to dodge most of the slime's attacks, but the slimes were endless and Spring's endurance was not. Hopefully Gobo and the men were able to rescue the villagers inside the Chief's House.

After 3 rounds of leading the Slimes around the area, I decided it was time for Spring and I to meet up with Gobo.

"Doggy help!" cried a small voice

I could see a little boy holding himself up, unto the house's window, trying to get my attention.

"Dammit. Spring circle around the area one more time, while I grab the kid!" I shouted

I dismount from Spring and rush towards the house the boy was in, while Spring leads most of the slimes away from me. As I run towards the house, looks like some of slimes followed me. I barge right into the front of the door.

"KID WHERE ARE YOU!" I yell

I hear faint crying upstairs. I quickly rush upstairs and I find the child hiding under a bed. I grab him and carry him under my right arm-pit.

"(Spring where are you?!)" I ask

"(Almost back, lots coming)" she answers

Just then a few slime's climbing up the stairs, lunge towards me. As I couldn't use my spear properly with holding the kid, I casted a Light Barrier around me. My barrier could easily stop one slime, but one after another came throwing themselves at my Barrier. I had to figure a way out of this place.

My barrier finally broke from the attacks of the slimes. The next wave of slimes attacked me and I block with left arm. My arm started to sizzle and break down to the slimes acid. In reaction I quickly manipulate some of the wood of my left arm to quickly pierce the cores of the slimes. I shake of the residue of the dead slimes off of my left arm, but the damage has been done.

"Dammit all, I barely have enough mana for 1 more Light Barrier" I say to myself. I quickly look around the room again, looking for my escape route. I finally figured out my way to escape and I don't like, but it seems like I have no other choice. Another wave of slime's prepare attack. Looks like it was now or never.

I rush towards the 2nd story window and jump out. I cover the kid with my body, while jumping and I land on my back to lessen on the impact on him. As I try to shake off the daze from fall, at the corner of my eye I can see a slime coming to attack me already. I quickly get back on my feet and block with my left arm again. I hear a loud crack.

A rock slime lunge itself towards me, breaking my left arm off and hitting me in the chest. As a recoil from the hit and get stunned, another rock slime was already getting ready for an attack. As the other rock slime came to attack me, I heard something rushing by me and lifting my up from my feet. I was sitting on something soft, while holding the kid.

"Good timing Spring" I say as I try to fix my riding posture with the kid.

Spring rushes out of the village to meet up with Gobo and other villagers. They should be close to Scribel by now hopefully.

--------
As I ride Spring back to Scribel, I finally get to check the damage unto my left arm. That rock slime really did a number on me, took off my whole left arm from the shoulder. I checked on the kid and it seems like he was sleeping, I wouldn't blame him for today. As we get close to Scribel, I am finally able to contact Gobo.

"(Gobo, have you arrived back to Scribel with the villagers yet?)" I asked

"(Big Slime master. Slime strong. Stronger then Go...bo...)" Gobo heavily breathed

"(Gobo where are you and the villagers at!" GOBO!)" I yelled

I tried contacting Gobo multiple more time's but it seems something happened to Gobo.

"Spring faster. Something happened to Gobo and the villagers!" I shout

As Spring sprints towards Gobo and the villagers, I try to recover as much Mana as I could with these Mana GlowStones. We see some of the villagers up-ahead, hopefully Gobo was okay.

As I get a better view of the area, the first thing I notice is the VERY large slime blocking the way of the group. Some of the men are deterring it with their make-shift weapons from a safe distance. I begin looking for Gobo and I see him being taken care by some of the villagers. They explain to me that Gobo tried to protect them and got knocked out due to it.

I leave the kid with the villagers and we leave to go try and deal with this huge slime.

As we reach the place where the men are fighting against the huge slime, they explain to me they don't have anything that can pierce through all the way to hit the slime's core. They've tried throwing their weapons to hit the core, but the slimes slime stopped it before it could hit the core. I sat in thought, thinking of how to destroy the slimes core.

After a while, I ask the villager that on my mark to disperse from attacking the big slime and get out of the area. I had to bet everything, all into this single attack, that's hopefully able to hit and destroy this slime's core. I stand a good way's from the slime and hold my spear with my one arm.

I start to form a layer of Light Magic unto my spear. Layer after layer after layer of Light magic. Condense, harden, and then repeat. Just like how I always practiced. I put all my remaing mana into this shining green golden spear, this had to work. I harden the last layer and yell at the villagers to get out of the way. As the villagers run away and the huge slime rages, I get into throwing position.

--------

As the last villager escapes the area.

I whisper "Fly"

I throw the spear with my all remaining strength and I collapse unto Spring.

--------
I awaken and the first thing I see are the old walls of my tavern room. I try to get up, but fail to do so. Gobo walk into the room and notices me, and before I could even question what happened, Gobo went back down stairs. The next thing I noticed I had a few people in my room thanking me for saving them. I ask them what happened to me after I threw my spear.

They explain to me that I was able to pierce the slime's core and kill it. I look towards my spear near the bed and give a breath of relief. They tell me everyone is safe and are staying at the temple till the slime horde gets dealt with. They thank me again before leaving me to rest.

It was only Gobo and I in the room now.

With shining eyes Gobo shouted "Master Strong!"

I chuckled..."Yes, Master very strong"

"Master mage... Help me..." A man with his lower half missing begged the figure in front of him. His remaining body part was covered by the slimes and was dissolving at a visible rate. His vision was waning, and his mind was fading. Soon, his body's temperature dropped, and his struggle ceased.

The medical officers and healers could not help but lowered their heads in their failure, ashamed of their powerlessness. The man's injury was too severe for low-ranked healers to take care of, and the best they could do was to numb his pain.

Solet watched the whole process as he remained in his place, stroking the Underworld Lantern in his hand. After the lantern shone and dimmed did he slowly walked away, leaving others behind. He did not help the man, and he could not help the man, even if he wished to. At most, he had cleared the slimes from the surrounding area, allowing the survivors to retreat back safely.

Accompanied by his footsteps, everywhere Solet went, a stench of decay followed, and the slimes would shrink away from the strange black liquid. He appeared and disappeared in various places, like a Death God who went in to claim the souls of the dead and out after the suffering had gone away.

“Before we left Scribel, I heard there was a slime horde heading towards it. Now it seems rumors of it came true. I can’t go back now; not with so much to do here.”

“I need you to go back and protect the city. Don’t give me that look, I’ll still be here when it’s all settled. Just be sure to come back safe.”

“Oh and bring Zio with you, the dog is getting bigger and would be good if it learns how to fight. Be nice to other people okay? Don’t go freezing others nilly willy.”

“Come back safe Iris; till we meet again.”

Those words were the last that the listless woman ever heard of her partner. For now....

She rode behind a carriage that headed straight back to Scribel, at the side of the carriage was a large beast that walked on all fours that is also as big as the carriage; uncaringly walking by the side as if guarding the one riding the carriage. It was the same beast that was hatched from the giant blue egg. Yes that massive wolf was given birth a long time ago, but that is for another story for another time.

+++++

The carriage arrived at the northern gate of Scribel, even from there one could hear the screams of terror and panic of the people. The woman did not care and uncaringly got off the carriage then proceeded to walk into town, along with her large beast following behind her.

Guards would normally be such on high alert when a large beast is entering their gates; this was not the case for a horde is present to be dealt with.

Walking in the streets of Scribel, panic ran amok in air but it went severe when citizens saw the sight of a large canine walking towards their direction. All stayed clear of the path the woman in front of the beast taking; it would seem they are headed towards the southern part of the city, where they followed the shouts of war.

A battle would soon take place…..

Arriving at the south gate, Iris could hear the sounds of war reverberating throughout the air. Nearby soldiers and adventurers alike rush forward towards the horde of slimes. Some few remained to defend the walls of Scribel against the massive army of slimes.

“Zio…”

Hearing its name, the large beast lowers its head to match its master’s gaze. Stretching out her hand whilst pointing to the forest, she only gave out one command.

“Hunt…”

Heeding its order, the large beast made a thunderous howl and marched towards the hordes of slime in the forest; rampaging, and crushing every small slime that met its way.

Iris on the other hand diverted her lifeless gaze towards the others who were sieging the walls. Nearby slimes took notice of her and slid towards her. Not giving them a chance, Iris emitted a frost aura around her and all those that approach her slowly froze; slime were not of the exception. Fumes of dissipating air rose on every slime, as each one of them try to melt and dissolve the frozen viscous liquid from themselves. It was a constant freezing and melting for the slimes, one could say a self-battle of attrition.

Iris would not waste the chance she was giving herself and erected a giant translucent crystal wall. With a simple push the wall fell on handful amount of slimes; crushing the frozen ones and squishing the remaining. That did not matter as many would soon replace the fallen ones. She kept her distance while constantly trying to freeze the approaching ones.

As Iris fought against the small ones, she noticed from afar that a large slime was constantly splitting numerous amounts of small ones without its size being reduced. Seeing as it was one of the source of the countless slimes, she summons a large icicle at flung it towards the large slime.

The large slime not care and quickly melted the icicle thrown at it as soon as it made contact. Annoyed at the outcome, Iris erected more large icicles and threw them all at the large slime, but the result was the same; it melted all the icicles thrown at it. Not all of it was for naught, she noticed that it stopped reproducing more slimes as it was busy melting away all attacks it received.

The battle ensued and Iris was getting fatigued from the vast amount of magic she has casted. Zio, the large beast, has returned to her side and noticeably some of the scaly hide on its legs had been corroded away, it would take some time and shedding for it to recover.

Noticing as the battle is progressing as disadvantage against her, she erected numerous ice walls to momentarily block off the slimes, then climbed on the back of Zio. With a light tap of Zio’s cheek, it rushed back to the inner walls of the city where they would rest and once again fight outside when the time is right.

The battle for Scribel continues on….

I made my way towards the south walls to defend against the slime hoard. The closer I came, the more I could hear the wall. It was frantic up there, Soldiers were constantly arming their bows, and after receiving the command, would fire the arrows in sync producing a skyfall of death. There were also people pouring soapy water down the wall, in an effort to discourage the slimes from attacking. I helped out by running around and collecting and delivering arrows to the soldiers.

That was until I saw something weird. A particular blue slime caught my eye. It was moving towards the wall, but it dodged and ducked like it was intelligent. I don't know why, but I got a sinister feeling from it. A demonic feeling. My eyes followed it, until I saw something strange. When the slime shined with a tinge of purple, the other slimes seemed to change what they were doing.

I brought my gun up, and decided to shoot at the blue slime. Miraculously I hit it, but I didn't kill it. The blue slime proceeded to shine purple, and suddenly all the surrounding slimes clumped up together forming a slime barrier and rolled away.

I was snapped back into reality when a soldier grabbed me on the shoulder. Apparently, the loud sound of the gun startled a lot of the soldiers, so I was asked not to do it again.

[South Gate]

Originally, I wished to accomplish a quest at the South of Scribel but... guess what? There is just a slime horde in front of us. How unlucky. If only we had better timing, like, what if we left earlier? Perhaps we would have avoided such a troublesome situation. In any case--

"Do you remember that I told you it would be great if you could fight?"
Hearing his annoying voice, I looked up and let out a sigh. While his sentence was a question, in fact, he was inciting me-- or forcing me? All I can do is avoiding danger! How can I--

"Perhaps, I could chase after you... but if you choose otherwise. I advise you to borrow a spear from the guards."
Okay. Let's think like that. If I learn how to fight, I could try to beat him up, later. Actually, I should try learning magic. As long as I can stay away from the monsters, that's good... admittingly, I know that it does not work like that. In any case, I suppose they would be willing any help. Although--! In a way, it could be interpreted as taking advantage of them. What should I do... get on the walls? No. Let's stay near the door and prepare a trap!

In the meantime, we were walking towards the South Gate where guards tried to push away the slimes, so they do not enter into the city. In all honesty? It is unlikely for the gate to resist a long time but-- let's delay it as much as possible or prepare for when it falls. That is the least we can do. Once we arrived, the guards who saw us immediately shouted.
"C'mere and help!"

...To be honest, we don't have to do it. We are, sort of, mercenaries... wait, I am a mercenary, Paul is just-- actually, I don't know? He introduced himself as a mercenary but admitted he was never one. He was just here to monitor me... so, he may have responsibilities towards the city? Or not at all. Whatever, I will know it at some point.
"Don't mind me! I will make a trap in case the gate falls..."

It should fall. I mean, there should be hundreds... no, thousands of slimes? Actually, it's surprising that they didn't enter yet. Shouldn't the gate be already melted by now?

"What kind of trap..?"
Good question! Because I don't know yet! A fire that doesn't lit would be great but-- well, you need to find a way that it stays lit. And that it's big enough of a fire to block them. Without burning the nearby buildings. In short, an impossible task for me. Mmmmm. Maybe there is a way to avoid the door getting destroyed. It is to make a hole in it... instead of destroying the gate, they would pass through it?

Oh. A hole. A pitfall. That's it. Just dig a hole in the ground, and so, when they will enter, they will fall into it. They are just slimes, so it should be fine... okay, let's do that. Until the South Gate falls. But then... how to make a hole deep enough in a short time? And will it be deep enough? Because there are so many slimes... they may just fill it then cross the pitfall without problems?
That should be better than nothing or anything I could try to kill them... On top of that, it may be considered as practising magic.

"A pitfall should be better than nothing."
At least, that would slow them down. That would take some time to make a pitfall, even with magic ... but, not too deep since it may affect the sewers. In any case, I proceeded to make it. I am unsure how long would it take.

"...and Paul, just go on the walls and kill slimes... a shovel would be too slow. Ah, and say to the guards I am making a pitfall..."
Paul simply nodded and went up.

"Maaa~"

Her wings flapped lazily, bearing her aloft as she stared at the scene below. The green landscape was now blue from the sheer amount of slimes.

"What to do~ Oh, there's a big one."

A rather massive purple slime which resembled a massive worm was making it's way towards the gates as well---from her position the guards stationed on the walls were smaller than ants.

"...Hah."

Frankly, it was quite boring. Not a single enemy present caught her interest, because they were too weak individually. The size was the only thing that was going for the horde.

*Yawn*

Leisurely ascending, Ellania got to quite a height where she would be roughly above the bulk of the horde, and got to work. A translucent purple substance poured from one hand, taking shape and growing bigger and bigger.

The other hand was holding a teacup.

"I suppose that's the biggest it can get without hitting the walls. Well, adios."

She let the massive object in her hand fall, and sipped her tea casually as what looked like a miniature purple iceberg crashed through the air.

"Annnd...detonate."

Ellania mimed pushing the trigger button with her thumb, and what followed shortly was the sound of a massive balloon popping. She didn't need to look to know that most of the slimes in proximity of the exploding construct had popped, cores and all, in a successive chain reaction.

"Mhm. This should be just enough to let me have a good show. Entertain me, denizens of this city. Show this Qliphat how much resistance you can put up before buckling...fufufu~"

Holding one hand to hide her smirk, she reclined on a chair that wasn't there, and continued spectating the match.

"Ugho it stinks?" I watched as a sewer slime tried to leave one of the man holes, one of the residents came over and threw a small pot of ash at it causing it to wither and perish, and then they collected the core. "The little buggers was a stinky ye? so I just thought ashes would smell better than ass ye? So I just grabbed som thee brazier ashes and it worked so little lady I'd appreciate some help, I'd give yee a split of the cores if ye help make more ashes."

The man pointed at at multiple braziers that were burning wood "I need ya to keep adding wood into the fires, I'm a blacksmith so this amount of wood gets eaten through in a day so don't worry about it."

I was putting the logs into the Braziers and telling the man whenever the fires of one brazier have already reduced the wood that was put it to ashes, so we could clear that brazier, put new wood in, and have it lit again to produce more ash.

"I'll give ye 9:1 in terms of cores, but if ya promise to help out a bit I'll give you 8:2?" The man seemed to be negotiating while he ran around and threw ashes at slimes "Alright, but It can't be a bad thing okay?" "Yeah yeah, 7:3, and I won't make you do anything bad, I'll just have ya work a bit."

It felt quite generous even though it was 7 more him and 3 for me, I wondered what kind of work he was talking about? "A receptionist for me store for a few days dependin on how many we get. I'z been thinking, my store needs a better face, My apprentice who's gone to get more wood from the wood storage tiss too----Appearance Impaired to be the face of ma store."

Sounds of begging, Despair, Pleading, Hopelessness, rage, fear, & madness.

The cheerful atmosphere of Scrible is painted such color. The entire City is in pandemonium, the populace run for their lives as they disregarded the lives of the helpless, the poor, & the powerless.

All of them only care about is their own lives. The plead & tears of others vanished from their conscience. The act of Mercy, Kindness & camaraderie became non-existent.

Humans reduced to such primitive beings in face of eminent despair.

A white girl is walking within this very chaotic Streets.. the direction she is heading is the very opposite way compare to where everyone who is Panicking in fear is heading.

She would bump on people very often, she would clash on the floor & even get stepped by them, due to the people stampede as they panic. But the White girl simply stood up again not caring & start walking again towards the opposite direction.

[ You... You weird looking White kid, Your one of them right ] a very Haggard man with wide open bloodshot eye blocked Reciful on her way.

[ Its all your fault... ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!! All OF THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!! ON WHY THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME! TO US!! TO SCRIBLE!!! If only you Goddamned! OTHERWORLDERS!! To invade our world!!... Get lost!! This is your fault So DIE, FOR, US!! Fight for us & Die for Us!!! This is all your fault so! Make amend to us with your lives!! you Otherworldly MONSTERS!!!! ]

The crazy man shouted at Reciful, grabbing her shoulders very tightly shaking her without any mercy.

Many people temporary stop their track as they heard the mans voice they saw a Haggard man shouting at the White girl. While some of them want to argue at the Crazy man's logic... But no one did so, No one helped the white girl No one stand up for Reciful at all... Cause somewhere in their hearts they started believing the Crazy mans words... They subconsciously blaming the Otherworlders for their misfortune even thought its very clear that its not their fault at all... Well that how human works.

Reciful who has been looking downward slowly lifted her Face, Her Blood Red eye's Glowing with unknown shine within it. As she Gaze upon the Crazy man eye's looking directly to his very soul.

Reciful use both of her hands, as she slowly & gently caressed the crazy man's face... And she said in a quite voice. With a innocent pure smile on her whole face... Except her red eyes.

[ Move... Or I'll turn you into " Milk Martini Shake "(MilkShake)... okay? ]

The man is stunned somewhere deep within him a even greater fear shallowed his fears of the attacking Slime horde that drove him crazy... A great fear that threatened even his very soul.

Walking past the crazy man who is petrified on place, very pale, sweating cold in fear... Reciful resume her walk amidst the Chaos.

[ I need to go the Alchemist Guild... I'll make potion... Before many human died... I need them to keep fighting No matter what, they must keep killing Slime for Me. They all must Kill every single one of those pathetic Slimes for taking away My MilkShake from Me.. Ooh angry... I'm so angry ]

Reciful Muttered with a innocent smile on her face.

I was tending to the fire or a brazier when I saw Reciful walking down the road with a casual pace "Ah Reci~ Welcome back~ Argh I mean, How's it going? Wait no now's not the time, There seems to be an attack!" The Grizzled blacksmith with busy throwing ashes at slimes "Stop chit chatting lass, We need to get more core---Defend the city!" I signaled another brazier that finished burning, he got the ashes, and I put in more wood and restarted the fire to make more ash.

A crazy man walked up to me "Adventurers from another world are warriors sent by god! They are here to defend us in our time of need! Praise be adventurer!" He Looked around "Have you seen my Heretic brother around? He spews heresy!" I shook my head and the man walked towards the temple "For the lord loves his children that he sends them to protect his people, to strengthen them, and our faith!"

Now that I thought about it This blacksmith really has high heat resistance, He grabs the brazier by the metal part and doesn't get a single burn, nor does he care that the ashes are still really hot. "Alright as long as you work hard you can talk a bit." I nodded gratefully and looked back at reciful wondering what she was planning.

I got the permission to stay at the Rosenthal Mansion until I'm done with Lady Saskia quest. While I was in the middle of training, a sudden ringing noise surrounded the garden, I quickly went back to the mansion and asked what the sound was about.

"That was the sound of the alarm, it's mean our city under attack," the servent impatiently explained, "You better prepare yourself and help your fellow adventure soon, now if you excuse me." The man busily went off like everyone else in the house.

Instead of leaving immediately, I went into the kitchen and took a glass of powdery white substance. Well, the stars have hinted me that this city will fall to danger soon, with the rumors about the slimes going around, I have asked the chef to prepare some Baked Baking Soda, I heard it works very well against slimes. Sadly, you need to bake it for one hour for it to work, though baking soda itself isn't entirely useless on slimes either a soap might be better.

When I was about to leave, Bertram up to me with a bottle on his hand. "Milay gave me the order to make you drink a healing potion, it's not the best idea to fight with a broken arm," the butler reminded me.
I refused to take it before because I didn't want to take the magic way of healing unless I need to. In this case, I guess I have to. I took the bottle with an awkward smile and drank it in one breath. I felt the magic property in the potion worked it's way to my arm, speeding up the healing process, sticking the bones together again. My arm was usable now but it felt like it could break the same as before if I was to be careless.

"Tell Lady Saskia that I'm thankful for the potion."

"I will relay the message." That's was all I needed to hear before ran out to the noble district.

May the invisible stars guide us to victory.
