Eleven years? lol. I've done about a million words in the last year and a half alone, actually. Learning how to get out of my own way took me a really long time. Now I can sit down and write anything. I've been writing for eleven years.

Well you keep writing, of course! Now the question is, what's going to be your shining achievement in writing? Your magnum opus, your crown jewel? Tell.

Revision is a modern thing mostly. You'll never be productive doing it, and you'll get bored with writing. Learn to write a novel that doesn't need a bunch of revision.

Start with the characters. What are they doing? Why, and what is getting in the way of their goals?

I would ask you this: who are you trying to get the words to sound like? The story is not the sum of how its words sound, and most likely the words will sound like "you" if you don't edit too much as take that out by accident. This is called author voice, and you want that in your prose...
