One thing I'm not sold here by: for every bug report you bring up, there is at least that one person that argues against it in bad faith, rather than actually trying to analyze what you're saying. And they're super eager to turn that around on you as well.

I don't. The chances of people bringing up comments in bad faith is to strong. I'm more likely to arrange a writing group in person.

Are there plans to fixing the rating system? I certainly don't begrudge people one starring me work if they've been a user for a while. But creating an average rating from a couple of disingenuous users doesn't actually mean your book is 3.5 stars. It might mean one user gave it five stars...
