    I believe I see your point. Horror does appear to have a more mature audience and maturity isn't as popular here because of escapism being more attractive. The more I think about how reality is expressing too much global horror currently, the more I can see why that genre isn't as appreciated on any noteworthy webnovel hub. :blob_frown:

    Yeah, also horror elements are usually present in most grimdark or realistic fantasy , so it has become more of a part of various genres than a genre by itself... Like in most action fantasy series horror as a genre is a given in most cases,

    with cases such as monsters massacring villages and slaughering people, rape, slavery, and so on. of course, as long as they dont take it lightly and are more graphic and detailed on it, such as Goblin Slayer, which I would definitely qualify as hving a horror subgenre
