What does a villain means to you?

I like the most basic definition of villains best. Villains are those who oppose the protagonist. A villain doesn't have to be evil. Just like the protagonist, villains' alignment could range between good and evil.

Stumbled upon an old fantasy book with isekai

cmiiw Astro Boy started the story with the professor's son's death in an accident, that's why he made Astro Boy in his son's image. So, assuming it's the trope maker of Truck-kun, he was killed by a truck, right? But Astro Boy is not an isekai story :blob_hmm_two: So far I assumed that the...

That's interesting, I didn't know that. Anywhere I could read about that in more detail?

Aha. So, there's a reason why isekai stories are popular nowadays; they have many similarities.

Stumbled upon an old fantasy book with isekai

That's not what I meant about trope maker. This is. It's the story where the truck-kun trope originated from. The origin story of the truck-kun is another story altogether, but still an interesting one to ponder about. Maybe Truck-kun was a sentient entity; it had no driver. It cruised on a...

Stumbled upon an old fantasy book with isekai

My wording was a bit weird, I don't think that part has anything to do with the truck-kun trope  But now I'm curious, what's the trope maker of truck-kun?

Stumbled upon an old fantasy book with isekai

I was looking for a book to read when I found a fantasy book from 1984 titled The River of Dancing Gods by Jack L. Chalker. I found this by pure luck; I've never heard of the author before. A quick search told me that he is a prolific American science fiction and fantasy author of over 60 works...

I caught up with One Piece.

I heard One Piece is ending soon, it has only a few more years left—5 years, maybe? I know it's just a rumor, but it still got me wanting to read the manga from the beginning to join in the party when it ends. Used to watch it when it aired on TV but it's been so long ago I have little memory of...

    Haiku!

Okay, enough of the shitposting for now. Let's take a closer look of what haiku really is. Just like what I've mentioned in the first post, haiku is a type of short form poetry originally from Japan. Haiku has an easy to remember rule, that is the 5-7-5 pattern: 5 syllables in the first line, 7...
