What’s the difference between web novel and conventional novel?

Oooh, then the answer is obvious. Web novels are written by amateurs and distributed via the internet. Conventional novels are printed on paper and usually are the work of professionals.
Hah, no. It's also the work of amateurs. But these amateurs then have the manuscript mutilated by a bunch of professional editors to make it match the industry standard of publication which costs thousands :blob_joy: The biggest difference is money sunk into the project. And well, the luck to not having your manuscript repeatedly rejected by literally everyone since no one wants to take the risk if they don't see the potential they are looking for.

In theory, nothing. But the audience and the format favor endless serializing over having a whole, coherent plot.
