logophile /ˈlôɡəˌfīl,ˈläɡə-/ noun. - a lover of words.

This thread is for sharing unique, beautiful words that you would normally not come across. Words in your own country that others outside would never know are also welcome. Please, do avoid making this thread as a joke and post words that are meant as a joke. I really am curious to learn about nice words out there that are rarely used.

I posted this in the Author General thread because the words posted here might help inspire authors here in their writing.

If you live in america you have nothing of you own then tho. Cuz you just an amalgamation of other cultures and languages.

Unless you a native american. Like me. In which case

su'chawei--the feeling of wanting to bask in a woman's embrace.

Can also mean, in layman's terms, to wanna go get some pussy.

"Hey yo Cup lets go get some su'chawei tonight!"

Is the word beautiful? I like to think so

Tadhana - fate; destiny
Pahimakas - last will and testament; last farewell

Querencia - In Spanish, “querencia” describes a place where one feels safe, a place from which one’s strength of character is drawn, a place where one feels at home. It comes from the verb “quere”, which means to desire, to want.

Nocturia — Waking up in the middle of the night one or more times for the need to go to the bathroom.
English has a word for that but nothing for "the day after tomorrow".
