I am cofused how can I post forums or join inside a thread that someone gave me I tried searching but I didn't find a way. The thing is I want to enter the topic of Artist general someone gave me the link to join it. But then when I try I don't know how to or I guess I am already in?

Join inside a thread? What do you mean? Is it like someone direct message you?

If it is a direct message, just click on your inbox (mail icon next at top of navbar next to your profile usesrname). If you leave that thread but check to stop receiving future emails, then you won't be able to receive any other messages from that thread or private group thread.
