    That has given me a lot to think about. I quit social media because it made me question things I liked, similar to now. Maybe I need to just stop posting online altogether and just write for myself from now on.

    Hmm maybe you could just write online too but ignore commenters? If you're looking for somewhere quiet, WP is where you could go unnoticed I guess. Any platform is social media. There's also just Google doc which limits who you wanna see, like if you only want few beta readers to read your work maybe. Some do that.

    M8, this may be out of left field but just ignore the online comments. Remember this: no one takes the internet as serious as you. Whether this is true or not is irrelevant. This is a MINDSET to adopt. Once you come to terms with that hypothetical truth, nothing would faze you anymore.
