But the rest of the horror genre is either too fucked up for me to handle (ie. actually showing rape, etc etc) or their "horror" is like funny horror
Like, woah, look, this ghost is drawn in a super cute and funny way! So scary ha ha ha!

At least with Mieruko-chan the monsters are drawn in an actual disturbing way

mieruko is a shounen ecchi horror black comedy with emphasis on tits and ass

Putting that aside, people often tell me I write horror or grimdark, even though it wasn't my intention, so I guess I'm doing something right.

For example. Some time ago, on rr, I started writing a satiric story about a man who turned into a giant penis-like monster, as a joke. But people thought it's a horror.

They are pretty much synonymous with horror now, since the heart is pumping, why not have young teens fall in love with pictures so they can buy the merchandise
