Depends on your set-up. I haven't set up anything for a backlog of that kind. Although, I have done some backlog in the past and that did not turn out well.

It's, like, I have a schedule where depending on the day of the week, I post two or three chapters (two if one is longer). So each day, I have to write and edit those. If I miss updates, the chapters go into the backlog. Each day I miss updates, the backlog gets longer unless I do the new and the old chapters

I though you meant backlog as in extra chapters that you will release later. My bad.
