Cheese is also very much loved by south east asians. I remember as a child, the most popular pizza there was cheese, cheese and more cheese, 6 types of cheeses.

I'm white, and I don't like cheese. As for historical stuff, it's way too much of a stretch.

My sister is a bit odd with cheese in that she usually only eats melted/cooked cheese.
She likes blue cheese, though.
