You guys are thinking about this all wrong. Prince Rupert Drops can only be destroyed by their brittle tail. The armor would only show the indestructible part of it. The little tail would be extra protected so as not to destroy the rest of the drops. If they do though... Well, they explode in a ball of glass shards, turning your corpse into a highly explosive glass grenade.
