I found 'Summoning the Holy Sword' pretty neat. Love the mechanics for how Rhode's system worked.

What really turned me away was Rhode himself, sociopathic asshole who I kinda just wanted to die to be honest.

Yup. I totally agree on that.

I think I bought into his Us vs Them initially and the portray of Them is egging me to like him more.

But I can't. And after I found how he treats women like expendable sex toys, I hated him even more. I think the author was trying to appeal to the whole fuck and go philosophy and it is horrible.

What really pissed me off and drop the book is when he manipulated and took advantage of Anne.
