I agree. That's my biggest peeve as well. If they're going to do that, they might as well either write BL or write the character fully female to start with.

yeah, for some reason i'm less peeved if the character is a girl in the beginning. though the more i read, the more i felt it's not my cup of tea. i just dislike how a lot of them are so passive and over-reliant on the male lead, despite having op powers. in the end they have to be the damsel in distress.
