@Alverost nope, but I watched the anime where you either die, become immortal or a beast when you eat mermaid flesh.

Mermaid is half fish so and plus they can talk to them so it's like eating sentient beings + cannibalization.

fish has always eaten fish before. Survival of the fittest.

That's like saying eating any mammal is cannibalism, so since we eat cows and pigs, guess we do cannibalism on a daily basis.
