Seriously, what drew you to this conclusion? *Curious*
Chinese Kanji and Japanese Kanji. There once was a time where I thought they were the same and that they were traditional characters. However, the truth is that kanji writing systems for both the Japanese and Chinese have GREATLY changed over time from the original characters, pronunciations, meanings, and compounds.
I was trying to read some Chinese tattoos last week and found that I couldn't because the Japanese didn't use some of those Kanji characters and the compounds also had no Japanese meaning as well.
I was confused because I could only read one of the 2 kanji on his arm and I thought I read it wrong because it said, "window". But I was right when I looked at home.
