It was too ambitious for the deadline. 
I still really want to write Snow White and I intend to continue it once I'm finished with my story for the anthology, but it was unrealistic to expect myself to do a good job with it within 6-8 weeks. It became quite a long and emotionally heavy story, which will no doubt need a lot of editing even after the first draft is finished...
