Aren't all stories Slice of Life?

You're just arguing semantics. This is almost like we're talking about the romance genre, when it's obvious we're talking about romantic love context but someone says everything is romance because, duh: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_(prose_fiction) Slice of life genre doesn't mean...

How many words do you write per day?

I write in multiplication of 400 words. Most of the days, I would get 800 words, but sometimes it'll be around 2000 words. I try to not write more than that, because usually I'll get no more idea for the next days

    Poll: Would You Kill Yourself?

That's no my future self, I suppose. If they were then they should know why I'm not attempting self-killing before they arrived. My future self should at least give me a reason why, what happened to me in the near future, why they want me to die---especially why they chose right now. My million...

Writing How do you narrate a noise?

Really really thank you! Your examples are so good, and they're even more than I expected. Your help is really helpful  Thanks! I'll look them up for my writing. And yes, I suppose I shouldn't worry too much. I only got few situations where I need to narrate my OP question after...

Writing How do you narrate a noise?

Hello. I've looked up the internet but all I got is onomatopoeia tips&tricks. That's not quite what I wanted so I hope you guys can help me. It was when I was writing as usual, but something occurred to me that I only have little varieties on structuring a noise narration in a sentence. For...

    Yet another free feedback thread.

Your 1-3 sentences paragraph makes me remember Korean WN's writing style. They also love doing that. The shorter the paragraphs, the happier they get. Though the opposite may be true, that they might die if they use at least 4 sentences in one paragraph

Would you learn a spell that you have a scroll for?

It's no surprise coming from CN MCs. Might also add them being able to produce 1.000 scrolls per day, and their production cost per unit is 5-10% compared to its selling price.

Is the Word Count Slightly Off For Anyone Else?

Yes, I've changed from M. Soft to Gdocs a few weeks since, and I also found Gdocs sometimes has weird words counting. Still don't understand how they do it though. But I usually use other websites if I really need to see mine story's most accurate words count. Too lazy for a M. Soft nowadays.

How many chapters to make before uploading?

I need at least 10-20k words, or 2-3 chapters with many parts---like 1.1 to 1.3, 2.1 to 2.3 etc---so I can get to know what's to expect from the story. I think it's enough to understand how consistent the author's writing style is and how they deal with pacing.

What do you think of Ritoria?

Like @JenLeifire quoted: Also I found this: It seems that we're part of "Ritoria and/or its licensors", but that's so suspicious, and intentionally misleading. They might try to say you still fully own it, but Automatically assumes that Ritoria holds a part of its rights if you don't state...

Can you appreciate a story without identifying yourself to the MC ?

I've never had this question until I read Lolita and The Picture of Dorian Grey, or in a sense The Phantom of the Opera(I found that many actually relate to Erik). Relability helps, I guess. But I never searched for them for my readings. I realized most of my favorite stories don't have...
