Also with Contention Of Spheres I made it where it was set in short stories that had an overarching narrative connecting them. It's an easy way to add timeskips between them and stuff like that. I also find it easier to plan around rather than having too much filler forced in there.

I suppose it is a good strategy for exposure, but it feels like it takes away some dignity. Like whoring yourself out for views especially when the cover has no relevance to the story.
Yes! couldn't agree more. The trending really does monopolize the readerbase and almost every single one of them is the same genre. It's honestly boring seeing the same shit with just a different anime girl on the cover.
