I've always loved drawing since the beginning of time. In fact, it's the first hobby I discovered in my life way before writing which I only discovered during my first year in college. Still, I never ventured to the digital art realm and stayed analogue with my beloved mechanical pencil, eraser, and sometimes, ink pen. Digital art…that thing…it scared me.

But lately, I've been thinking ways to earn money by doing what I love and in the end, I concluded that having a skill in digital art will benefit me greatly. Not only I can make covers for my stories myself, if I improve, I might be able to sell my artwork.

So, I tried.

And to my surprise…

I know it's rather flat and I probably messed up the shadings, but it's far beyond my expectations. Of course, this isn't the very first drawing I made and is the third (fifth if I include the 2 chibis I draw), but…I don't know. I'm happy with it and I want to share this accomplishment :blob_melt:

If you're still here, thank you for reading this insignificant post haha. I'd love to hear your input.

From a person with no bias I have to say the picture is great, the message is tad bit.... bad, again no bias at all.

But jokes aside, I don't draw but I have many friends that do.......and Man they love to rant me about drawing hands, some of them have personal made hands🙌 their eternal nemesis when drawing.

How is it for you?

Yes, the colors are flat, but it looks good. If I may suggest, you can develop your art in this direction; I mean, I've seen artworks that may seem to be flat in colors, yet is great to look at.

Check out Seigo Suzuki's artworks in Twitter. It's one sample I can recommend you.

It's the title of my latest story haha

As for the hands, it's also a challenge for me and I don't think I can draw it without reference. I do love pretty fingers tho!
