"Nay, go ahead and have your meal first. It won't take me more than ten minutes."

In the midst of removing the innards, Ellania mumbled somewhat distractedly. She was still thinking about the golem which she'd fought just a little while back.

It's different, that's for sure...

I wrapped the duck drumsticks in a large leaf I found and placed them next to the fire to keep them warm.

I nibbled on a few pieces of duck while waiting for Luna to grab one of the ducks out of my hand I wonder if she'll like my cooking

"Luna try these duck drumsticks~"

"Thank you, Miss Letianna." With a smile, Luna took the piece and went for a little bite. The flavour seeped into her mouth as the fragrance drifted out from the drumstick. It was a great meal that she rarely had.

"It's very good, Letianna." Speaking while watching Ellania preparing the duck, Luna slowly savoured her drumstick.

"Umu, Luna can just call me Leti." I refuted making her say my long name. "Another duck?"I was confused but I spotted a duck quaking at ellaina with strangely large carnivorous teeth.

Without even bothering to look, Ellania swung a fist, sending the duck flying into the trunk of a nearby tree. Then she took her eyes off the rabbit to stare at the offending duck.

"Hmm, curious. I don't recall ducks having sharp teeth."

"A different type of duck?" I pondered upon what it meant before it seemed that the duck got back up and flew away.

"I wonder why that duck thing tried to attack?"

Ellania resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

We're cooking and about to start eating it's fellow ducks right now. Why would it be attacking us, I wonder? Gee golly.

Keeping the neutral smile on her face, she replied.

"Ducks are territorial creatures. Perhaps we are intruding upon it's territory."

Ellania resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

We're cooking and about to start eating it's fellow ducks right now. Why would it be attacking us, I wonder? Gee golly.

Keeping the neutral smile on her face, she replied.

"Ducks are territorial creatures. Perhaps we are intruding upon it's territory."

"If it was a normal duck it would've fled when you snapped the two ducks necks in one strike, the sharp teeth and the fact that we only noticed it now meant it was stealthy and quiet."

I thought about it more

"Even if a hunter shot down a duck in a flock of ducks, the rest of the ducks would just flee after the initial one was hunted."

"Hmmm, I don't know. Ducks don't have such sharp teeth, so perhaps it was a mutated one. Either way, if it come back again it'll be a meal. I won't say no to free food."

Shrugging, Ellania washed her hands in the pond and started cooking the rabbits over the fire.

"Well, if it comes back later and you still are interested it, we could try catching it."

I nodded "I was busy gathering herbs and studying wildlife before you two came, thanks for the meal~" I started packing up the herbs I gathered earlier into a pouch I borrowed.

"Luna do you need any extra herbs? I'll pack them for the journey."
