Oh, so it wasn't a spirit?

"Sorry, I didn't know what existence you were, but I don't plan to deny you of a treat, just because you are not one of the fairies or spirits.
Hmm... but if you like something else, I will try to remember it for another time."
Dust finds that to be shocking, and even lets it leak out of his tone, even as the base of his voice changed once more to a sharp rusted voice. "What I like are meat too tough for humans to eat, that which stringy taste gives little substance but I doubt the trouble would be worth it. Instead, what you have done now, is enough for a being such as I. Sugar has a nice taste." Dust says as the sugar in the cup disappears for a moment... before reappearing where it is once more, empty and cleaned spotless...with a distorting, yet peaceful presence in the background.

The being seems to be happy, glad or pleased? It's quite hard for me to tell, but I think I could feel a positive energy from it.

"Hm... though meat sound like jerky? But I don't really understand what a stringy taste with little substance means," I half asked it but also half muttering it to myself.

I didn't know if the being will use it but I took a bottle of burza out and placed it nearby the cup, "Take this if you like to, apparently it's doing well against slimes."

Then again, will a spirit like being have trouble with slimes?

anybody inside the guild house sees a pair of fox ears covered in slime run by and then another slime gets tossed by the window in the opposite direction, the pair of fox ears pops back up where the slime wouldve landed and a wind blows on the ears, blowing off all the slime and drying them, then the ears disappear behind the door and Niv walks in dry, sits down at a table, breathing a sigh of relief "holy mes its been too long since i properly ran out of stamina. bleeeeh" Niv seems to melt into the chair

Myria Lasvier - Level 2 | (230/600) EXP | No Rank
After noticing the threat on their doorstep, civilians began taking up arms to support Myria against the sewer slimes. Wielding makeshift weapons, they managed to beat back this particular wave of slimes successfully. After hugging each other and cheering, the civilians quickly gathered together and aided the injured whilst escorting everyone back to safety at one of the local temples. Myria took it upon herself to escort the most heavily injured back to the temple, since she could run the fastest if she galloped all the way there.

Once that matter was settled, and she was thanked by those she had helped, Myria started looking around for things she could help with. Obviously, by now, she had realized that the city had been raided by a horde of slimes. Just as she was about to exit the temple, a priest quickly rushed up to her and pleaded to her.

"Ms Myria, I know you must be weary after battling against those wretched slimes, but could you possibly help escort our next caravan of healing supplies? The guard that was supposed to help was injured after being ambushed on patrol by sewer slimes." He kneeled desperately, holding onto her fluffy leg.

"Sure, no need to beg me Sir, I would be glad to help." Myria smiled and huffed, feeling a little overconfident now that she had slain so many slimes using just a half-broken pole.

"Great! Here's the route and the plan..." He began suddenly as if expecting that answer from her...

Basically, after leaving the temple with the healers, the caravan needed to stop by three apothecaries, make stops at five known battle regions and avoid four known regions where slimes were gathered. All in all, the route was incredibly convoluted and seemed as if it would take the rest of the day to get through... Not only that, since she was a centaur, she was also being used to escort one of the priests! And it was that same dastardly priest that had asked her to help them! She was miffed at how he was riding on her back with an angelic smile, but this was for the greater good she supposed...

After a period of silence, a cup of water appears on the table, with only some faint noises giving anything resembling a warning to the water's appearance.

Thank you... hiding... dude?

"If you don't want the water, I can just chug it, if you believe it to be poisonous. it's not likely we will meet again anyway," Dust says, hiding as usual, as his tone now is soft and whisper, like that of a ghost.

Vesper knew something is going on. He stopped a nearby adventurer who's in a hurry and ask, "they what's going on?"

"Shouldn't you know?" The adventurer, a male asked. "It's the slime raid."

"I was on woodcutter errand," Vesper replied, embarrassed at his own cluelessness.

"Well I better go," he said. "Oh and it'd help if you'd go delivery some medical supplies to the frontline."

Vesper agreed and went to the guild building after finding out where the frontline is located. He obtain a batch of medicine supplies from the guild and put them into his spatial ring. Vesper then summoned his sword and got on, hurrying to the destinated location.

". . . .Would thou not shame me if knew what I was? From where I am, the divine and sane see all else as evil." Dust tone remains polite, but becomes more sophisticated, with almost a faint accent, but confusion becomes the major emotion expressed, as Dust continues to keep hidden, in the shadow of the table.

Vesper arrived at the area outside Scribel City and ran to the medical team.

"I got medical supplies!" He said, pouring them out from his ring and heading them over.

They thank him and Vesper continued on to the city's wall. He arrive a while later and went to help defending the wall the others.

Vesper ran over to help a group of city guards with slimes. He grab Qi Ming whose floating near him and slash at them. Vesper aimed at the nearest slime and thrust, aiming at it's center where the core is. A tiny explosion followed with gooey liquid falling.

Vesper slash his long, double edge sword in a wide arc at the nearby slimes, killing 3 of them. He retreated to the wall and summoned his Frost Bow, aiming an arrow at a slime.

The arrow hit and Vesper readied another one, releasing the icy arrow at a slime nearest to the wall.

{ Within the city of Scrible }

[ Mₐₙₐ Gₐₜₕₑᵣ ᵢₙₜₒ ₘₑ & bₑcₐₘₑ ₜₐᵢₙₜₑd ᵢₙ dₐᵣₖₙₑₛₛ. Black Bullet... Scatter! ]

Immediately after her chant. a bunch of sewer Slime get punctured by rapid attack of a dozen Small Black Solidify mana destroying their core killing them.

But soon after another bunch of Sewer Slime appears again.

[ Darkness: Tendrils.... Impale ]

Sooner after she said those. Several jet black Tendrils emerged & shot out from Reciful shadow towards sewer slimes peircing each of them.

Reciful is currently helping out clearing the sewer Slimes making Havoc within the city... Almost all the city Guard where busy killing slime outside the city walls but it doesn't mean that the inside of Scrible is in a better shape.

Due to the death of the Slime leader, the coordinated attack of the slime horde vanish.. in short they became primal without any sense of intellect in their action. In a sense they became even more dangerous & chaotic than before cause their action became harder to predict due to the death of the one controlling all the slimes

[ Wow this is endless~ ]

Reciful muttered as the fiercely throws her Cutting Axe in a Big Sewer slime crushing its core.

[ Really~ really~ endless... Hm? Ooh Good! good! those Apothecary Guys still doing as I command... Good good ]

As she muttered her Complain, about the endless pouring Sewer slime here & there that seems like only few give bother cleaning up.

Reciful saw from a distance a group of the Apothecary guys whom she threatened to death earlier today now helping each of the victim of the slime attack inside the city.

Seems like the seed of fear she engraved spouted magnificently without any problem & bloom as a full blown Trauma! Now they are helping the poor, the helpless & the powerless, without any complain but not out of kindness. Instead just so that they won't displeases the 'Demonic Evil White Monster in the shape of a Beautiful Young girl'

[ Oh here's the Next bunch of slimes~ ]

She stop watching them as she detected new Group of Slime eating a house not far from her.

| Reciful | In the residential street of Scrible city |

OCC: @GM I wonder if this is count as doing one of the objectives?... I forgot if their is a objective about killing slime havocking inside the city. Though I would like to suggest adding a Objective of clearing the Remaining Slime inside the city if possible... But its ok of you don't! XD ahahaha

PS: Mobile is really hard mode~ :blob_no::sweat_smile:

"Alright little lady!" The man picked her up with one arm and left her at the temple, occasionally placing her down and slaughtering slimes along the way.

"I'll see you soon little lady!" And so he left elsewhere.
After the rude man unceremoniously picked me up and forcefully dragged me to the temple, I took a deep breath and prayed for miss Letianna's safety... He did not seem like someone with ill intentions, but it was hard to not worry when his personality was like that.

Nonetheless, I entered the temple once more, this time with the intent of helping... It was a... Very uncomfortable situation. This was not The Goddess' temple, I should not be here.

And at the same time, I was only a liability outside right now... So I took this as The Goddess' call to do what I can, regardless of how uncomfortable it was, and started helping out.

The hours passed quickly, wounded after wounded kept coming. We had long ran out of healing herbs, though from time to time a group of guards came with a new batch that came from the people that evacuated the city, as they tried to at least gather some supplies to those that remained to protect it... It was undoubtedly helpful, but not nearly enough.

It was tiring. There was no time to rest, and there was hardly any point in using spells to heal the wounded... They were just so many... Me and the other priests did what we could, but whenever we saw someone in such a critical condition that they needed magic to be saved, we had to decide between incapacitating one or more healers for a while, for the sake of saving one person... It was not an easy to choice to make, it never was.

I had seen far too many adventurers go out in their quests already... Far too many filled with hopes and dreams, with their wishes to help those that they loved, to become someone respectful, to be basked in glory... Far too many that never returned home, and were now only remembered by a tombstone in the local graveyard.

But this? This was different... I saw people with melted limbs, with parts of their bodies missing, people screaming in pain, begging for help, when all we could offer was a prayer that they'd soon find peace... One after another, a death streak that had no end... And for each person that we saved, two more arrived while in need of help... And often times, we'd have to choose one of them to live, and the other to die... How could I even make that choice though? What right did I have to decide on who was the person that deserved to keep their life?

And yet... It was all I could do, for if I did nothing, we'd lose both... To cut our losses, to heal those that needed it the most... And to heal those that needed it the least, because they would then be able to go back to the fray... To fight again, to risk their lives again... To put everything on the line for our sake.

I wanted to tell them to not do it, to pray that The Goddess would protect them... But I couldn't do that, they made their choices, they wished to protect those that they loved, so I could only pray that they would once again return safely... Often times they did not.

At some point we received news that the enemy's leaders were defeated, that they lost their organization, that their champion had fallen, that things would be better now, that they'd soon finish routing them and find peace... But there was no joy inside the temple, nobody was happy to hear the news... At most there was... Relief. Relief that maybe this would finally be over.

And that was what I was praying for... For this day to end... For all this to disappear, and to let my conscience rest in peace, for I did everything I could... And to let me have the strength to carry on for a while longer... Because as soon as finish treating them, we'll start arranging the funeral... The funeral, because there will be only one this time... To burn those that passed on, to thank them for their sacrifice, and to pray for their safe passage...

I was tired... I wanted to rest... And yet, wherever I looked, all I saw were tired people, people in desperate need of rest... People that were bandaging wounds, and applying salves to those that could still be saved... And as such, I continued working... Working, and praying that this would soon be all over.

Somewhere in the Backstreets of Scribel City

A hooded figure was dashed throught the backstreets of the City, occasionally stopping to poke, prod and stab some slimes, leaving a goopy trail behind him.

Syn's perspective

The first slime I killed seemed to have dropped a fragment of its core. I wonder what it does? Well, I kept it anyways, as with the other cores from the other slimes I killed along the backstreets.

Somewhere along the way, news about some kind of slime leader, rocky slimes and a big purple slime reached me. Hmm... they could prove to be valuable sources of experience should I find them.

As I proceeded along the streets, I encountered a differently coloured slime, a brown-ish slime bashing down a door.

*Lurk passive skill is in play*

This slime seemed tougher than its brethren. However, it seems to lack the intelligence of a leader. So, a rock slime it must be. Thanks to my skill and its rather poor perception. It seems not to have noticed me. Siowly, I crept forward and attempted to stab it.

Sadly, while its toughness seemed average, I missed my stab. As I pulled my blade back and readied to stab again, the slime seemed to freeze up, literally, and solidify. Looking at that rock-hard surface, I highly doubt my ability to pierce through it. So it comes as no surprise when my second strike skitteeed harmlessly off the slime's surface. Thankfully, it seemed to be incapable of retaliation when it solid form. On the other hand, I could not attack it either.

And so, hunter and prey stared at each other for a good minute or so.

Then, the slime appeared to start melting and returning to its liquid form in order to approach me. Sensing my opportunity, I lunged forward and pierced straight through its core.

Again, it dropped a core fragment, a brown one this time.

And so, I continued my hunt for more slimes. Good thing we had no short supply of slimes.

A few rock slimes and a lot of regular slimes later, I noticed a pocket sized grey slime squeezing its way out of a drain cover. And realisation dawned on me like a clap of thunder.

Ahh... those little critters bypassed the defences by crawling through the swer tunnels! Well, the tunnels would certainly contain even more prey, and few would bother going down there anyway. It would make a great levelling ground. If only it did not stink as much.

And so, I located the nearest sewer entrance and entered it. It seems as though some adventurers or perhaps even civilians may have entered the sewers, perhaps with the same idea as me?

Scribel City Sewers

I was right. There were slimes, everywhere. And i mean everywhere. Up in the ceiling, along the walls in the sewerage canal and along the walkways. A group of twenty or so of them seem to be digesting something... or someone. Must have been an unfortunate civilian who sought shelter here. These slimes are dangerous, but only if they catch someone off guard and swarm them. As long as I stay on my toes, these slimes pose no real threat.

As I proceeded onwards, there was a slime, a small blue one, that I tried to sneak up to. But when I attempted to stab it, it flared up almost like it was surprised and started bouncing away. When I attempted to catch it though, a whole bunch of other slimes quickly approached and made a wall of slimes. I must admit, it was a funny sight, but it was nevertheless an effective obstacle that stopped me from catching that blue slime. Still, the slimes in that wall were not moving and free experience is free experience after all.

*stab* *stab* *poke* *poke*

*more poking and prodding noises*

After stabbing every slime in that slime wall, I continued to pursue that strange blue slime. By that time, I had put two and rwo together and realised that that slime was probably one of the rumored slime leaders. When I next saw that slime leader, it was busy directing more slimes through a lsuice gate into the sewers. I made sure to not alarm it, and then proceeded to get rid of the other slimes surrounding it - quietly. My Lurk passive made this somewhat easier. Soon, most of the slimes had either been killed off by me of had disappeared down the sewer tunnel and the leader was left alone. Now was the time to strike. I would have to kill it fast before reinforcing slimes arrive. I also expect the leader to be tougher than a normal slime. A skill might be needed.

Twin Coil - Modified: Single blade rapid strike

My blade flashed forwards and struck home before the slime could react, pinning it to the wall. Its core, as expected, was tougher than usual. It would take a few seconds to pierce through, but that would not be enough for its minions to arrive to save it.

I collected the blue core fragment and moved off before the other slimes could arrive.

Some time later

It seemed that me having killed the leader made the other slimes in the sewer wander aimlessly, and gather in smaller groups, making them easy targets.

@GM:
Some more rock slimes have been taken out.
Syn can be found in the sewers.
Also, the hidden leader slime leading the assault from the sewers has been taken out, making the slimes in the sewers wander aimlessly and not gather in large swarms. This makes them easier to kill and also reduces the frequency of slimes emerging from the sewers.

"Young Miss I finally found ya!" I looked at the armored man in front of me and kind of recognized the voice of my bodyguard "Uncle Jason...?" The man laughed his signature hearty laugh "Who else has these glorious muscles huh!? Anyway I gotta pass a message to you, and I'm gonna help ya train for a few days before returning." I nodded, he would know how to train.

"Leti we need bandaging on #23 and #67, #45, #68, #89 need cleaning, and #24 # 26 #86 need some more help!" I went on to help the patient while talking "How did you even get here?" Jason moved in to help where he could, first aid was something every modern bodyguard needed to know.

"Well we met this strange man and he said he needed some items and in return he'll let us help madam!" I sighed, Do they know they might no-- "It will not matter if we return or not, I'll let the smarter big brains back at our base think about how to get back, right now, I'm a knight! Bwahahahaha!"

I sighed That's uncle jason alright.

"It seems like the tide of injured warriors is slowing down?" I spotted fewer people being rushed in while I treated people Jason seemed to grin "Well I'll go take out some slimes, tomorrow you'll be training with me, I might even get a few of yer adventurer pals to help ahahaha!" the man sprinted off before I could speak.

Scribel City Sewers

Hmm... I appear to have caused abit too much of a ruckus in the sewers. I appear to hear two voices not far from me. Some adventurers must be checking out the right now. (Tag @Nahrenne )

It is time to leave. I pass through the Sewer's North Entrance, which was barricaded rather hastily and barely impeded me as I rappelled over the makeshift wall.

The Northern side of the city appeared to be rather free of slimes. Pass the backstreet I exited from, I could see teams of guards assembling and marching off to the South. Perhaps I should see for myself what is happening in the south? I seem to recall the existence of a giant purple slime.
