Quest Name: Alchemist Assistant.

QUEST REPORT:

Long story short I already have a spare Slime core with me, due to my daily strolling which commonly Involves stamping few slimes to death.

I give it to the Alchemist before he even speak anything.

Then I went to gather some materials.... Buts~ their formula is ridiculously boring & unbearably inefficient, So~ I Improvise it a tiny bit.

What they trying to make is a tasty Healing potion making the unsavory taste of the Common Potion vanish once & for all.

The Recipe is like this..
Slime Core(not from sewer slimes)
Healing herb
Twin flower
Horned Rabbits Horns
Any edible fruits

While the Idea is good what will happen will be a potion much terrible in effect than a lesser healing potion.

So I added this...

Slime Core(not from sewer slimes)
Healing herb
Twin flower
Horned Rabbits Horns (grinded to dust)
Any edible fruits (just buy some in the market)
fairy wings Dust
animals blood
Moonlight pure water
Black Demonic blood (My blood)
A drop of fairy tears

all I added were all magically rich Ingredients, also don't worry no fairy is dismembered in the process. Well I make them cry a lot but its fine at least they are alive so what if they develop a trauma.

I Added Animal blood & Moonlight water in process to dilute the effect of My Demonic blood which have a strong effect for general public.

Mixing, Mixing, Stirring, Stirring & Alas the potion is done~

Name: [Black lesser Healing Potion]

Description: a unique variant of a common healing potion created by using common alchemy methods with Uncommon Ingredients. This potion can only be created by either a Class Job of Dark or Evil Alignment type class & Demonic/Evil Beings Race or above.
Effect:
• a lesser potion which effect is Equal & more effects than a greater healing potion has.
• can regenerate lost limbs.
• can dispell Curse/Hex Spells.
• very tasty can be used to restore energy.

Side effect:
• Addictive
• beware, Demonic Beings is attracted to its scent.

Rock Mite Subjugation [GH0603]
  • Sponsor: Adventurer's Guild
  • Location: Gelderholm Mines
  • Required Level: 6
Objectives:
  • Survey the tunnels for rock mites.
  • Eliminate rock mites.
  • Collect 30 rock mite carapaces.
Rock mites aren't particularly dangerous individually.
They live in crevices and holes all around the mountain.
But you haven't witnessed true terror until a swarm bursts in your face.
Their little pincers gnaw at everything they touch, easily crushing rock to dust.
Rewards:
  • Points: 220 EXP
  • Money: 22 G
  • Other: n/a
> > >
Signed by Obsinase, the Commander of 253rd squad of the Gelderholm Military Unit

In regard to the mission, as confirmed by another soldier, Solet and he had successfully patrolled the tunnel, and eliminated about a hundred Rock Mites, with the proof of eighty Rock Mite Carapaces beside me. The journey, surprisingly, did not result in the solder's retirement or request to get away from Solet as soon as possible.

It came out as a big surprise to me, that the soldier, named Medisus, a former knight, had requested me to pair him with Solet, making them a team of two soldiers, and even more so, Solet did not refuse, but she also revealed no intention to agree. In the end, facing the constant persuasion of Medisus, I finally gave in and allowed for the change.

Solet seemed to have gotten herself a friend, or maybe a temporary friend. Maybe, this man might be able to do something about her weariness. I'll be keeping an eye out for her. But, now that the battle was at its new peak, I might not be able to report further about her.

OOC: Here is a peek into the event.

Unevaluated Report

Waking up, I felt the need to paint some more. After last night's dreadful grinding, I was sure that I could become even stronger.

Nonetheless, old habits die hard. I remembered there were still many painting requests left. Thus, I made my way to the outskirts of Scribble City.

There, I was once again met with the beautiful scenery of the landscape. Thus, I decided to paint it. With my skill of course. It was perfect for capturing the scenery in black and white. Once again, I returned to submit the painting to Lord Rosenthal, in hopes of improving my skills and rising even further as an Adventurer.

Yes, all in the hopes of one day achieving my dream, revenge...

Quest Report

Leaving the guild after talking with the receptionist - Letianna - for a few minutes, Liana decided she would do one more quest before returning back to the house. Going to the quest board, she looked at what other paintings in the city Lord Eugene Rosenthal wanted, and saw one she thought he might appreciate - with what she had in mind.

Getting the art supplies from a guild receptionist, Liana began looking for Freja Haljissen - hoping she'd be at the quest board. Waiting there for about ten minutes, Liana eventually saw Freja arrive and so went over to her with a gentle smile on her face.

"Miss Haljissen! Good morning!" She approached her and bowed in greeting.

"Liana?" Freja responded with a somewhat surprised look on her face. "It's not often I see you here in the morning. Why the change?"

Smiling awkwardly, Liana waved the quest slip and art supplies in her hand then pointed at the quest on the board, "I wanted to do some quests to soothe my mind and so took on Lord Rosenthal's painting one."

Freja read the quest description and faintly smiled, "I see...That really does suit his character." She then turned to Liana, "Have you thought of what you're going to paint?"

Liana looked a little embarrassed as she awkwardly smiled, "Actually...I was wondering if you'd be willing to let me paint a portrait of you, Freja....what with recent events being as they were. Ah! Never mind, I understand that doing such a thing must make you feel uncomfortable!"

"Wait, Liana!" The female elf grabbed onto the young woman's shoulder in a bid to stop her from leaving, "It wouldn't make me feel uncomfortable. If anything, I'd be flattered to have a portrait done."

"Really?" Liana showed surprise before revealing a relieved smile.

Freja nodded with a faint smile, "I haven't taken any quests today yet, why not come back to my house so you can paint me in a relaxing environment?" She motioned at the direction to her house.

"If you're willing, Miss Haljissen!"

"I am."

The two then left the quest board area and headed for the female elf's house.
Entering Freja's house, Liana observed how neat the place looked - with several vases of flowers decorating each room. Arriving in the living room, Freja motioned for Liana to take a seat while she moved some of the vases of flowers to the side due to them blocking her line of sight.

"There's so many flowers! They look gorgeous!" Liana said in admiration.

The female elf smiled faintly, "They were a gift from a friend." Her eyes showed hints of happiness as her cheeks were tinted the faintly with a blush. She then looked at Liana, "Is there a particular position you wish for me to be in?"

Coming back to her task at hand, Liana smiled and responded, "Ah, if you could just sit down and look slightly to the side, then that will be all you need to do."

"Very well."

Freja sat opposite Liana in a chair surrounded by vases of flowers - the sun shone through the nearby window creating a warm glow on the female elf. Liana took in the scene and made sure to memorise it as she set up her easel and chose the paints and brushes she'd use for the painting. Coming up with what she wanted to show in the painting, she focused on the canvas and zoned out her surroundings - except for her art subject and her artwork. Freja knew better than to distract the young woman who was seriously working on her quest and so decided to meditate on her life.

After a few hours, the sun was about half an hour away from reaching its zenith and Liana put down her brush to examine her work. Noticing the young woman's movements, Freja took this opportunity to speak, "Do you wish to take a break? It's almost noon and I recall Hejlikka mentioning how you didn't do well at such times."

Liana looked up from her musings and smiled wryly, "Would that be okay with you, Miss Haljissen? I do not wish to intrude any more than I already have..."

"Nonsense. You have done much for me and I consider you a friend." She looked at Liana's tired figure and showed concern, "You look very tired...Sleep for a bit and I'll wake you up in a few hours."

Liana nodded, then shook her head as she thought about something, "Let me scrape off parts I need to change before the paint dries first."

"Okay." Freja got up from her chair and did some stretches for her stiff muscles, "While you do that, I'll start making some lunch. Want anything?"

Liana shook her head again while already beginning to scrape off some parts of the painting, "No, it's okay. I'm not hungry at the moment but thanks for the offer." She smiled gently at the female elf before returning to her work.

"That's fine. Just know my offer is open for the duration you're here." Freja then left the room and headed for her kitchen.

Finished with the scraping off, Liana could no longer keep her eyes open and so lay down on the sofa and fell asleep.

***

Liana woke up to Freja gently shaking her awake. Observing her surroundings, it seemed to be mid-afternoon. Thanking the female elf for waking her up, she motioned for her to sit back in the arranged position and then resumed her work on the painting.

After an hour, Liana felt she'd finished the painting and admired the artwork. Freja saw the young woman had finished and so made her way to have a peek at the finished product.

"...You seem to have embellished me in this portrait, Liana. I do not think I am as beautiful as you have portrayed."

Liana smiled gently, "You're too hard on yourself, Miss Haljissen. You are a very beautiful woman. If not, why would that receptionist from before deliberately reduce your rewards for that quest?"

Freja frowned a little at that before conceding, "...If you think so."

"I know so!" Liana responded enthusiastically with a bright smile.

"Mm..." Freja revealed a slight smile as she admired the painting some more. It showed the female elf sat regally on her chair with the sun glowing on her fair and flawless skin; her eyes showed serenity and wisdom as her face retained a stern, yet relaxed expression; the vases of flowers surrounding her accentuated her perfect features and brightened the whole painting.

After waiting for the painting to fully dry, Liana bid farewell to Freja before heading for the Rosenthal estate to deliver her artwork to Lord Eugene Rosenthal. Reaching the house, the usual butler - Bertram - arrived and guided her to the familiar reception room. An hour later, Lord Rosenthal arrived and was dumbstruck when he laid eyes upon the painting.

"..."

A little worried, Liana asked concernedly, "Is the painting not good enough, my lord?"

Roused from his reverie, the man replied, "Not good enough? My dear lady, if anything, this is a masterpiece! I absolutely love it! I'm actually a little hesitant to show it to others due to how much I like it." He blushed as he couldn't take his eyes off the portrait - a permanent satisfied smile plastered on his face.

"I see. Then, I am glad I have made something you approve of, my lord." Liana smiled gently.

"Ah! I almost forgot to give you the signed note as thanks!" He quickly wrote his note and flamboyantly signed it before handing it to Liana, "I am truly thankful for this art piece. Know that I will absolutely treasure it with all of my heart."

"I thank you for your praise, my lord." Liana bowed before she was escorted out of the house by the Lord.

Leaving the estate, Liana made her way to the guild and wrote up her report.
After handing in her report, Liana pondered over her food situation once again as she waited for the receptionist to evaluate it.

Was it fate, for her to meet Ramza once again? He was youthful, far more younger compared to the others. Agrias and Mustadio had their white hair and wrinkles in their skin. But, Ramza did not seem to age past the last time she met him.

Ramza told her what happened after they separated. How he had thrown all the stones in his possession, except the virgo stone to the deep sea, hoping that no one would be able to use them anymore. Though, if she had a say on that, it was foolhardy. That one Lucavi, Leviathan, was there until now, dooming the sailors who went through the sea it governed. Many times they had regrouped together to slay that one. But Leviathan was unique in that it had possessed fishes instead of humans to manifest into the world.

Though, outside of leviathan, there was no sighting of others. Hopefully, with the virgo zodiac stone in Ramza's hand, they wouldn't be able to revive their master. After that, Ramza told her about this new world. As it was, he felt too unmotivated to continue to fight as adventurers. He had devoted himself as a healer before he went to this world, and after that brief period of adventure, he returned to be a healer.

Ramza told her to visit him occassionally in the future. Saying goodbye, Reis left and went to the adventurer guild.

Quest Report:
Ramza told me that this is the adventurer guild. This is a world called Tonia and that she was in the scribel city. For today's survival, Ramza had gifted her 70G and a few rations. He had also recommended the tavern he was staying to her if she needed to.
"Welcome, Miss, to the Adventurer Guild!"

The next thing Ramza said she had to do was to complete the tutorial quests. Since lodging would be secured later, and food had already been secured for a few days, she looked at the next item. Apparently, there was a quest to make a friend. Could she claim that ramza was her friend? What should she establish first...

Quest Report:
I have a friend named Ramza. We had known each other before we went to this world as I was a soldier in his command. When I arrived, Ramza noticed me an then asked if my name was Reis. I recognized him as Ramza did not seem to age past the time they last meet. Apparently, for him the time passed since he was separated from the group was only two years. But, for me it had been fifty years since then. We talked about how others doing back then, before he suggested to me to join the adventurer guild. As for easier things, well... He gave me some money and rations before we left.

In front of the receptionist, Reis showed the food she got from Ramza. After that, she took a bite. How nostalgic. It was the ration of old, that he made. She hadn't taste it since ramza left their group.

Quest report:
I can guarantee his recipe. In the three months I journeyed with him, I had tasted his cooking and none of them had gave her a diarrhea. Though, the taste of his cooking in the past was not as delicious as the current one. For diarrhea... I think the chance is low. I previously never had this, though I wondered if the difference in physiology between me and other human was the cause of this.

For the next quest, Ramza said she just need to regurgitate the information he had. Therefore, she wrote it down.

Quest Report:
Ramza said that for soap, I can get it on the market. As for bath, the tavern that Ramza recommend has a bath. Though if I want to do it, I have to use a basin for the container, and move the water from the well to the basin herself. For underwear, well... he said that don't hope for any underwear. The tunic they sold in the market was the best quality available to the masses.

Quantum teleporter... if teleporter was defined as the a tool that allowed instanteous movement between one place to another without traversing the space inbetween, I can't engrave the spell formula to boots to allow that. I don't have knowledge in time magic discipline. If you want to ask, ask Ramza for he had mastered all the job himself up to the famed arithmetician (though I doubt it, since he could do it himself if he need to without the aid of tools, and that he never learned to be an enchanter). Anyway, I don't think I need this. Also, I don't understand what quantum means. So if I am wrong, sorry.

Mana phone. Another strange words. I know about mana. But what is a phone?
"Well, you'll have to adapt to the lifestyle of Tonia to survive somehow."

Demonic Boar Sighting??
Sponsor
: Scribel City Guild
Location: North Scribel Forest
Required Level: 6

  • Read this quest report.
  • Report any sightings of a giant demonic boar.
  • Update: Demonic something sighted (source), as well as a "strong beast" (source)
  • Demonic beasts (boards & bear) in city guard exam (source)
Description: A powerful demonic boar(??) was reportedly sighted in the forest. Have there been any further sightings?
Rewards:
  • EXP: 275
  • Money: 30G

The journey to Gelderholm was dull, Zorion and Carah made their way north at a steady pace. Taking advantage of his knowledge of traveling in woodlands, they avoided many dangerous beasts.

During the journey, Zorion dove deep into his Elemental Basics Tome, it might have been due to his body, but it turns out he was quiet good at water and wind magic. Originally, he thought magic was altogether too bothersome to learn, so he stopped at the first half of the book.

He knew of moving earth, making breeze, generating water and small flames, but he had stopped there. The second part of the tome, he imagined would be too hard.

Then during the journey, he had found that it was only true to darkness, earth and fire, the spell for fireball and earthen spike was difficult to master, but flare, Ice lance and wind cutter, came to him like fish to water.

Even so the most important thing was controlling his new spell, the Maelstrom of Bacon. Controlling the area of effect and intensity took some doing. But fortunately, the concept of a Maelstrom related closely to wind and water, and eventually, Zorion made the spell his own.

One evening, while breaking for camp, he tried something new, he activated a smaller version of the spell, six of seven pieces of bacon twirled in a miniature storm in his hand. The wind created was not made from wind magic, it was created by the movements of the bacon! It was the bacon momentum that created the air current! An amazing discovery!

When the maelstrom settled down, the bacon landed in his hand.

Greasy.

He then cooked the bacon. Holding the crispy meat in his hand, he examined it closely and looked at Carah.

“It looks like bacon… it smells like bacon," and after a bite, “ it even tastes like bacon, but…”

He raised an eyebrow, “what is it?”

It was then, Zorion noticed a pair of red eyes peering at him from the darkness, he remembered that report, that subsequent quest: “Demonic Boar Sighting”.

It was the bacon. He should not have been summoning bacon in the woods!

Reflexively, he sent an intense whirlwind of bacon towards the creature. The maelstrom left a trail of shredded grass and shrubbery as it pounded into whatever was prowling in the dark.

He had to act quickly, if the report is true the Demonic boar would charge any moment. He shielded his eyes and sent a series of magic flares into the woods to blind the creature.

With swift moments Zorion found the boar where the boar was sent flying… it was stumbling, blind, but it was not sporting a fight it was eating, fumbling around looking for bacon...

Like the report said, ‘true to its instinct’. Before the demonic boar noticed his presence, Zorion launch an icicle and impaled the boar’s head.

Examining the body of the dead boar, it was certainly larger than a regular boar, a little smaller than a horse.

Is this the creature others hand seen? Are there bigger demonic boars?

He did not know, he bled the creature butchered the meat, and took its hide, and magic core.

Zorion made sure not to summon more bacon on his journey. But he started to undertand te bacon must have been made of mana, considering the diet of the demonic boar.

Once in Gelderholm adventurer’s guild, he brought in the proof and the report.
"It's a blessing that you're able to take down the demonic boar. However, we'll need to see further if there are more of them."

Ramza did say that I should familiarize myself on how the adventurer guild system work. Because of that, he said that I should use the remainder of my day to start working as a clerk. What he did not say was that it involved so many reading quest report. Before Beowulf married me, I was just a village girl. I have no need to learn how to read or write at all, beyond basic arithmetic and location. After that, I dedicated my life to be a house wife, which once again, did not need a lot of reading and writing. I could read of course, he taught me how to read a newspaper when I show a curiosity to the newspaper he read. But report? I know nothing about that.

One thing that made me curious was how the machine that teleported us involved shoving the knowledge about language to our mind. I never realized it with cloud, but he did speak fluently as if he was a native of Ivalice. The phenomenon that once helped cloud adapted to our world happened to me, too. How I could understand what the word said here, no matter how bad the handwriting was, it was interesting. But, in practical, that meant I could understand the reports in front of me.

I was tasked to match the report given by our adventurer and the report given by the client who hired them. Any incongruity between the two should be noted for the guild to check later. Thus, it was the start of the long day of evaluating report. Anyway, apparently this was done to spot whether the adventurer would lie in the report.

After I was done checking the reports, the woman then commanded me to check whether the quest request were satisfied. Thus, I had to reread them once again. This time, I had to check the report from the receptionist who accepted the quest item that the adventurer submitted, then compared them to the previous report. Some of the reports only had the word of the clients to tell us whether the quest were completed or not. Some of them need the submission from the receptionists. And lastly, a lot of them needed both. From the receptionist, quest item were given to the clients, then the clients evaluated them and report it back about their satisfaction.

The next thing I did was to reread it once again. This time to assess the damage caused by the adventurers, both to the environment and to the clients themselves. The woman said that the damage assessment would then be sent to the relevant departments, like the department of engineering. After noting any damage if they occurred, I completed my assignment.

My right hand was tired. I could see the ink smudge peppering my hand. Taking a quick break, I went to the bathroom and washed my hand, trying to erase the smudges. I hope that they could read what I wrote, since it had been so long since I did that. After that was done, I returned. The next thing I did was... doing another paperwork.

Continuing from the previous one, this time I had to be a messenger for the department. How efficient, I thought. The woman did all the letter for the various departments in the time I took a bathroom break. Thus, I went to those departments, to give them the letter from the woman. The bulk of them was addressed to the department of engineering, of course. Apparently, the department of engineering, in addition to resolving those, had to assess the structural damage caused by the Slimes in the city. Why was there a lot of this creature called slimes in the city I couldn't understand. After seeing the pile of requests, I swear to myself to never took the quest from that department. Other than department of engineering, some of them were addressed to the guild department of alchemy, and a few others.

After I delivered all those letters, I was then asked to write my report about today's experience. Therefore, this is the submission.

"Excellent news, the subjugation of rock mites is important, but so is the psychological well being of adventurers. hopefully Solet will find some joy by associating with this new companion."

It was already afternoon. Ramza said that I should build the stash of money whenever possible. He said that I should do more than one quest in one day if possible. Based on that reasoning, I decided to help around the tavern.

The sky darkened, and the night life of the Scribel City started. I was assigned to be a dishwasher that night. So, I washed the dishes. At first, I could hear people entering through, one, two, three in one minute. Sometimes it was only one in five minutes. The night was still early. Thus, my workload was not that much. I didn't even have any workload before twenty minutes passed since then. As people were done with their dishes, it was then that I started to work.

The plates and mugs kept incoming. At first, I took my time to wash it. The first two hours, it was doable to do it until I was satisfied. Past that, the number of plates, bowls, and mugs that entered in one time kept increasing. I had to wash them as fast as possible, as clean as possible. It was to the point where the next batch kept entering when I was not done with the current batch of dishes.

The rush hours lasted for around one hour. After that, those who ordered were ordering ales and other drinks. This period lasted well past the midnight, when the last of the adventurer went to their lodging. After finishing the mugs, I was ordered to sweep the floors, and after that I retired to my room.

Investigate Blood Lilypads
Sponsor:
Briele (Adventurer's Guild Library)
Location: Scribel Region
Required Level: 1
Reward: 50 EXP
Objectives:
  • Read this quest report
  • Search for the Blood Lilypad herb and collect a sample.
  • Update: (1)
Character: Phantasm
Moving away from the receptionist's deck and ignoring any curious glances my way, I headed to the quest board. I needed to keep up a front, after all. Apparently each quest listed their requirements, such as level, rank, gender, etc. I picked one that I felt that I could do without too much confrontation. The objectives were to read a quest report and search for the Blood Lilypads while collecting a sample. Not too difficult.

Grabbing it, I brought it to the receptionist's desk for approval, as well as to read over the other quest report. I read it over and...got very little info out of it. There was another one as well which, while more useful in saying that the plants were found in swamps, was otherwise just as useless. Sighing, I thanked the receptionist before heading out of the guild. I didn't have a clue as to where the nearest swamp was, so I tried to stop some people passing by but to no avail.

Wising up a bit, I decide to just head back to the guild and ask a receptionist. Having the directions, I headed out to the swamp. It wasn't much of a journey. At least, I don't think it was. Regardless, I made it and found the plant relatively easily. It was a normal green lily pad at first glance, only they had blood red roots. What's more is that they seemed to secrete a toxin into the water that paralyzes creatures if they get too close. I wonder if that''s the kind of poison they were talking about?

Shaking my head to rid myself of thoughts, I grabbed my scythe from my back. The blade was chipped even though it was adamantine. I barely had it for more than a month too, but it goes to show that expensive equipment mean nothing in the hands of an amateur. Not that I had it made for such a reason. No. This image fit me much more, instead. A dilapidated image is much more of how I should live now....

Once again shaking my head, I move my sycthe into the water before swinging. With a bit of a splash, I disconnected a fair amount of blood lilypads. Gathering them up, I moved around and grabbed ten or so. I didn't have much of a place to carry them, so I simply carried them in my hand. It hurt, too, as there were thorns on them. They probably secreted toxins too, but it didn't seem to matter much to my body. Yet another reminder of my sin and curse.

Returning to the guild hall, I handed in the materials before heading to the quest board yet again without waiting for my money. I'll get it when I'm done with my next quest.

Ramza did say that I should familiarize myself on how the adventurer guild system work. Because of that, he said that I should use the remainder of my day to start working as a clerk. What he did not say was that it involved so many reading quest report. Before Beowulf married me, I was just a village girl. Magic Research Centre. First time I've ever heard of it, seems a bit sketchy, but if I can earn money without a lot of risks, that's great. It seems like I won't need my equipment though, so I leave everything except for my clothes in our inn room and follow the directions that I found as a footnote to this "magic research center".

Outside, there is an old man. Probably this Dr. Lennings. "Uhm, are you-?" I start but he interrupts me.

"Ah, the adventurer. Good, finally. Now come."

With a surprisingly strong grip, Dr. Lennings(?) pulls me into the building. Inside, the walls are a sterile white, a pale light shines down from the lamps above. I... don't like it here. It makes me uncomfortable. Before long, he pulls me into a room filled with weapons and armor before looking at me.

"What are you waiting for? Strip and equip yourself."

"Wait, strip!?"

"Yes, it said all your equipment. Now get on with it. I will be waiting in a room nearby. Once you are done, just pass through that door."

"...alright." I meekly sigh. This isn't turning out the way I thought it would. Where's my easy money!? I quickly swap my clothes with some I find in the room, put on some armor, and take a longsword. The clothes feel strange though... and what's this weirdly thick collar for? Whatever, let's just get this over with. I leave the room, going through a couple of doors before arriving in a spacious but almost empty room with a table with a bracelet on it in one corner.

Confused I look around before Dr. Lennings voice resounds through the room.

"Subject 01-03-51, please equip the bracelet." I guess that's me...? With a shrug, I go to the table and put on the bracelet. Immediately, power flows through me, filling my body with brimming strength. I feel like I could wrestle down a bear! A lion! A tiger! Throw anything at me, and I'll handle it.

"Good. Now, Subject 01-03-51, please fight the monsters, survive, and try to remain lucid."

Oh, I am so totally ready to fight. Imma butcher the beasts! What was that about remaining lucid though?

The slime approaches. I split it in two with a single Zornhau from above. Then appears a horned rabbit. I charge towards it, feeling like a charging bull as I point my weapon towards it. It tries to run away, but I lunge forward, thrusting the sword's tip into the rabbit, then pull the sword back out and kick the rabbit away with a satisfying crunch.

Now a wild boar marches towards me, grunts, and then charges. Oh, a battle of strength? It is on, beast! I put away my sword and go into a wrestling stance, determined to stand my ground and beat the boar into submission. But on impact, I let out a pained grunt as I tumble out of the way, my thoughts snapping back to lucidity again. Damn, what was I doing!? I roll back up to my feet and draw my sword. The quest never said anything about whether the sword should remain whole, but still... I won't break it.

The boar charges again. I wait. And wait. Then jump to the side, twisting my body to face the boar as I bring down the sword's blade in another Zornhau, inflicting a shallow wound on the boar. Not deep enough. The boar approaches again and I hold my sword in the Day's Guard, then perform a full-force Zornhau against the boar from the side. With the strength granted by the bracelet, I manage to throw it off balance, causing it to tumble to the ground, and finish it with a stab. Finally.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Subject 01-03-51. Please return the way you came after placing the bracelet back where you took it from."

After doing so, I put on my old equipment again and Dr. Lennings guides me back to the entrance, not giving me much of a farewell. Weird guy. Oh well, I finished my job. So I return to the guild and hand in my report.
