Since I have started to have actual character art for my current story, Jing, I decided to post it here :blob_sweat: (aka. I gave up on posting images in my story as it poofs on me in my chaps.)

I will probably also be posting a lot of stuff from my other stories or things I made over time. XD I know myself well enough that I probably won't be able to resist. :blob_cookie:

I'm assuming you mean that it disappears? Can I ask what steps you take? I've noticed it has issues with some image hosting sites versus others. I use pintrest for my in-chapter images and it works great. You just have to remember to use the image URL, not the URL to the page containing the URL (If on PC, right click, select "Open image in new tab", use that URL).

Also, nice art! looks good!

I have mainly tried discord or art-station links. I have tried Pinterest as well but they always vanish. I have no idea why though.

But if you say Pinterest works well I'll try with it again :) thank you for the hint. :blob_cookie:

once it's uploaded, remember to right click and use the image's specific URL, not the page that shows the image. it should be a pinimg(dot)com URL.

as an example:

That image uses the URL for one on my recent upload for Two Faces.

This time not for my current story but an artwork I did for my friends (and I am incredibly proud of it and I got permission to upload XD)

One Time Sans Title and one time With Title (although I will probably change that one as I am not entirely a Fan)

I made a few sketches for my Soul Land FF (Which is probably a sin but one I very much enjoy, Idk. if I will eventually come around coloring them or if they stay like this (probably not I will adapt the design)), but either way Yay. :blobrofl:

I honestly don't get how you peeps keep using pen tablets for your linearts, and still make it look good.

I tried drawing on pen tabs; my hand is shaking badly, I made a straight spaghetti.

You can try making many small lines instead of long ones and then put them over each other, that usually works or you turn up stabilisation (which is a function) that automatically straightens the lines a bit (not my fav but it works well.)

Or at least that is one way. I think stabilisation is better in your case.

A lot of fiddling with the settings and a rough paper-like screen protector for the tablet. My transition from traditional to digital took a year to have smooth lines.

I also need a lot of warm up for digital before my lines become the way I want.

I have dyspraxia, I am litteraly unable to draw without a software that can provide a strong stabilisator, smoothing out my lines. Me drawing on paper is like a baby trying to write, a total mess !

If you have trouble with drawing digitally, search for the stabilisator in your software

I'm just a pen-and-paper guy.

Finished one which I colored digitally.

To OP, sorry I didn't mean to swamp your post with my work. I put in spoiler atm, but if you want, I can remove it.

Nah. I tried pen tabbing many times...

...same ol' straight spaghetti. Kinda frustrating, which stopped me from mastering pen tabs.

Hands are shaky, and can't draw well on slippery surfaces.

Mhh, really sounds like a stabilisator will make things easier or maybe a mixture of rough paper screen texture and stabilisation if you want to try digital ever again.

But then a lot of illustrator, pros included do all their prep work or lines on paper first because they prefer it over getting into the painstakingly time consuming process of learning how to do it all digitally.

I prefer to do a majority of my work on paper and in sketchbooks too.

Also I don't mind you putting your art in here. It's an Arts stuffs post and people are always welcome to post some arts stuff inside. Especially when it comes with a question included.

Since the topic came up, I though why not upload old fashioned pen and paper for once?
After all it's been kinda an eternity since I did so XD.

That is why here wo go. Straight from the sketchbook.

A bit of lore: this gentleman is a very savvy old man who supports one of my MCs in a novel I am writing in my own language.

He is her right hand man and investigates many a case with her by frequently sneaking in undercover being a true chameleon. This is him in his actual job where is a retired ex soilder and policeman.
