My LitRPG / Isekai has classes in the style of early final fantasy / tactics. I was wondering if you guys had any cool class ideas. For Example -
Bog Witch - Dex/Int Class, focus on debuff spells and debilitating archery
Swiftblade - Dex/Str Class, focus on extremely fast attacks and evasion
Runemage - Str/Int Dwarf Exclusive class, a decent mix of physical spells and passive abilities that synergize str and int

So is there only three stats?

Like:
Main Character - Str/ Dex/ Int, focusing on being the most OP munchkin while boasting the highest defense. Not just a jack of all trades or master to one, but rather the Master of All.

@Lloyd You should probably give us a basic outline to the world and a very brief explanation to the magic system less you want terrible ideas.

Motivational Bard - CHA/WIS

No combat abilities yet uses Buff and Debuff as weapons. Inspires his party to increase defense against Mind attacks. Uses Debuffs to demotivate enemies and instill fear by the use of words.

My friend is the strongest person I believe in, he will never give up a fight he won't lose - Increase Will during near death situations and overwhelming odds.

A BBEG just sits in a cave and acts like a boss when he is just a virgin that had lived longer than a wizard Lol - Decrease CON during a fight but increases STR(Bane of Wizards)

or other attacks that uses words instead of a weapon.

Speaking of only three stats, why can I just do a class with one single maxed out stat?

Atlas - Str, focuses on being a tank and able to carry a boulder or huge log as a weapon. An obvious combination to Heavy Knight and Beserker.

Mercury - Dex, focuses on being fast as lightning and only capable of using finesse weapon like rapier and whip to do devastating damages.

Sage - Int, focuses on magic and laws of reality.

World building:
Soldier classes:
-Soldiers: gain bonuses from commanding officers, being in a large structured group, and discipline
-Leader: give large bonuses to a limited number (<10) of followers, reduce supply consumption, gain bonuses from their loyalty, discipline, morale, charisma, commanding officers, and training
-Tactician: gain middling bonuses from a limited (20-100) number of subordinates, give bonuses based on loyalty, intel, terrain, commanding officers, and intelligence.
-Strategist: gain small bonuses from a limited number (<1000) of subordinates. Give bonuses based on intel, intelligence, terrain, and commanding officers.
-Commander: gain tiny bonuses from an unlimited number of subordinates. Gain additional bonuses if under a wise ruler. Give tiny bonuses based on your military career, charisma, and intelligence.

Rebel classes: nullify soldier bonuses of the same command level as your highest command level leader. Only works against militaries that are familiar.
Slaughter classes: nullify group bonuses if you win an charisma (intimidation) check.
Hero classes: nullify group bonuses if you win a charisma (persuasion) cheek. If successful, conscripts are also unable to battle.
Faith classes: bolster anyone who visits for spiritual advice.
Nobles: like military classes but instead gain from territory, influence, affluence, and army. Also gives bonuses to territory and military.
Guide: provides terrain advantage to relevant place and/or task.

Mageshield – summons a domain of bubble that can prevent close combat attacks. Lasts about five minutes and has one minute cooldown. Mageshieler also summons a pet; typically a wasp fox that would deal poison damage, it's attack is strong but has very weak defenses, so one should summon them when shield bubble is casted. Mageshielders on the other hand has very low hp, but to make up for their weakness, agility is extremely high. Should be deal damage to when casting and if skills are on cooldown, they wouldn't be able to move and is the great time to attack.
Songbird – A singer x attack x morpher.
Singing deals large damage, it is an aoe skill that can only be activated when user morphs into a bird which she has very low defenses. Weak to firepower like arrows, and guns, extremely lethal to those near her and locks all escape route until her singing is finished. Fuel is water, and weak to fire. User cannot rechant another song before five minutes, deals very large damage to oneself if one does so.

You could maybe go for a high skill-class.

Something off the top of my head would be "Vitals Hitman".
- Attacks on certain parts of the body will stack a "marked" debuff that the user can then choose to redeem ranging from bleeding, blindness, damage vulnerability and instant death. More severe effects need more stacks of "marked". Really strong class with versatility and a "win condition" but high skill ceiling due to to the difficulty in attacking seemly random places (eg. armpit, base of a foot, back of an ear or the eyebrow region). More choices apply to monsters if they exist.

Be warned it might get boring fast due to it's simplicity.

ManHunter Cha/Int - Main class used by otome game protags, includes the skill to manipulate both handsome guys and their loved ones. Can designate a person as a villainess, the said villainess is then forced to subject the protag to light harassments witnessed by guys and make her look evil.

Controller — Specified in controlling a specific element. This element would be bound to their soul. Fire, water, wind and earth are common for controllers to process, the rarest one are space and time, this class is an overpowered one, unfortunately, it only appears in one in a trillion individuals and leveling up with this class is very hard.

Dancer –Who wouldn't want themselves to look good while executing commands? Dancer is an atk/def type, mainly focusing on high defences and slightly lowered attack power. Depending on the weapon of choice, dancers can deal huge damage and protect themselves by making a small barrier and receive extra life that would last about thirty seconds.

Astronomer – Based on the star signs of the user. The more powerful one's constellation is, the more powerful one gets. Sadly, unlike other classes, leveling up is deemed impossible due to the impossibility of changing one's star signs.

Survivalist - the next evolution of the class 'Master of None'. Upon reaching a threshold amd breaking its limit. The player has unlocked its whole new full potential due to exertion of hardwork and effort.

Thotslayer - a paladin of an Egyptian god of wisdom. They are scroll scribers and use them to unleash powerful mind spells. They are so powerful that it is said that they can drive Evil away with a mere shout.

Professor - can allow fellow party members to use magic and or techniques they didn’t previously know for a short time.

Guards - only attacks if they are attacked or specified “guarded” person is attacked. Massive defense and attack stat.

Burst Mage DEF/INT: A slower than usual magic caster capable of using both healing and attack magic, and some basic status effects. In exchange for having very high high defense, high intellegence, and a large mana pool, they don't have any range for their spells. Every spell they cast is area of effect centered on themselves, has higher area of effect than usual, and takes more mana than usual. They are immune to their own attack spells, but none of their spells otherwise avoid ally or enemy targets in range. The unique method of casting magic helps temper their body, and their skin is naturally as tough as decent light armor. They wear robes enchanted to allow magic to pass unhindered, and otherwise would destroy their armor every time they cast a spell. Likewise, burst mages are unarmed fighters because every spell they cast would blast their sword or wand out of their grip. Their main demerits are that they struggle to cooperate with allies, they have slow movement speed, and that they stand no chance against mobile ranged units like archers who can successfully kite them even with somewhat large level differences.
