Just imagine that you're on a writing site and the admin allows you to create a writing contest. The themes and even the rewards. It's also recommended to be extremely biased in your judging criteria.

The entrants doesn't always have to be free for all. You could even limit them to just a few people you know.

Let's just say everything's allowed on that site, but please don't go into detail the stuff that's not allowed in SH.

Example (just to give you the general idea, you don't have to follow this format):

Bard Writing Contest

Criteria: write a short story of maximum 5000 words of Fantasy with any of this theme

Magic vs Science
Necromancers
Off-classing as a Bard

Bonus points for

Good grammar and easy-to-understand writing
Interesting premise and characters
Solid world-building
Featuring a Bard as major plot character

Winning Criteria:

Whoever features the most Bard content in the story according to our totally-not-biased judge panel

Reward

The first to third place can class change to a Bard

The rest of the entrants can request one piece for the three Bards to perform in the South Wind Tavern.

Deadline: 30 days

That's basically it.

Let's see...
Write using two unpopular tags from this list. (Sort by Count Ascending if it doesn't default to it).

Bonus points for every word, for good spelling and grammar, and a logical, meaningful plot.
However, the points don't matter because there are no rewards.

Bad poetry contest:

Criteria:
You must write at least 3 poems. These poems must have the ability to make any reader cringe from how bad it is.

Bonus points:

Bad grammar, spelling, form, etc. make it really bad.
Super edgy, wordy, trying to be uber mysterious, and being extremely cliche.
If a reader has to reread the first line ten times before understanding what the fuck you have just written, and then proceeds to facepalm because of how edgy the line tried and failed to be, you are on the right track.
(I.E. I’m Batman becomes: iten Benoald mi ths taBmoon)

Winning criteria:
The collection of poems that both, feels the most naturally bad, and hurts the most to read will win.

Reward:
The top ten scorers will gain the Bad Poet title, which must and will be announced, after saying your entire name, for three years with no interruption, when ever you enter a building, when you enter a room, when you greet someone, before you talk to someone, when you login to any internet services, type anything public, or just generally do anything public. It is impossible to avoid or stop, without dying. If you refuse to announce it yourself someone behind, in front, or to the side of you will. If you are alone and refuse to announce it, one of the 5 assassins tasked with making sure this protocol is followed, will announce it with a megaphone.

If you score in the top 5 you will get a pat on the back and some encouragement to try better next time.

The top three scorers will gain, a penny from a random reader who sees themselves in the poetry after recovering from the heart attack they suffered to read it. They think that you really need the penny, for some reason, and will then go on to tell you their unique backstory for a couple of hours. Delaying, not listening, interrupting them to try to leave, trying to leave, or any method to avoid, stop, to fake paying attention, etc. is impossible.

The top scorer and winner will get a brand new, state of the art, pizza oven, for $5.95 plus shipping and handling!

Deadline:
5 days 19 hours 27 minutes and 49 seconds

Reverse writing contest

Select three tags of your choosing.
A cliched ending featuring one or more of the chosen tags will be provided by the judges.
Starting from this prompt, write the story backwards to the beginning.

Bonus points for making the ending look good in the end. Which is the beginning.
