Idk, im not sure if this was the cause of her leaving, I am more inclined to think that something irl happened, since if this was the case, she wouldve atleast left of message probably condemning the site or something. There is also a report button on the russian site, so she couldve asked people to do that if she didn't try already.

UPDATE:

Good news, I found the last website that has the novel up and running until the latest chapter.

Bad news, it's in Russian. The site: https://tl.rulate.ru/book/33206

And it's locked behind a paywall except for the first 5 chapters.

This raises some more questions. What makes the author delete her work, even though it has over 170k views? (holy moly I'd think twice, that's not something you'd achieve in a short amount of time)

If she, somehow might have formed a contract between the website, and they tell the author to delete her work on other places except that particular site..

then why some of the works I've seen in SH which is still in SH, have been posted in that russian website too? And paylocked as well. This makes me confused.

For example:

The novel in SH:
My Wrath Against the Olympians

The same novel, but in Russian and paylocked:
https://tl.rulate.ru/book/33199

Somebody help me. This could be something big we're onto. :blob_shock:

Yeah... I also found my novel translated there, paylocked too: https://tl.rulate.ru/book/30972
In fact, I also saw lots of familiar cover from that site, not just mine.

I feel very complicated about this...
They never asked for permission or anything, not even one word as far as I remember.

Mine is also there D:
While i find the fact nobody asked permission annoying. My real problem with the site is the fact they put a paywall and are making more money of it than me...
The report button takes +18 content or problems with the translation
Not too sure if they would tale it down or even accept the complaint

Don't know if this is relevant to the paywall thing, but the SCP Foundation recently got copy strike or something? I just remember it was by a Russian man, in Russia. Apparently the laws are more lax there. Maybe, Idk

I had this happen to my novels as well, I made an account on that site and contacted the translator directly. He's a very nice guy and puts a lot of effort into his translations so instead of asking him to take it down, I gave him some translated covers and GFX and we made a deal.

Just contacting them helps a lot, you'll learn a lot about the Russian translating industry. As far as I'm aware of, English originals are considered the same as Asian novels over there - since most of the Russian webnovel community doesn't produce original works.
