Hello, just a quick question from a newbie. What is the difference between your number of readers and your number of views? Thanks!

That readers stat is totally inaccurate and doesn't really gage how the novel is doing. You can have 1300+ readers and chapters average about 800 views, you can have 600 readers and chapters always hit at least 600 views. Hope this helps.

To be a little more accurate:

Readers is the stat that shows how many people have put your novel on their Reading List. Some people never make reading lists and others use reading lists to exclude novels they dropped or don't want to see. Also many people have lists of novels they are interested in but haven't actually started reading them yet. In other words, it's not the most accurate stat.

Views is basically how many people opened a page on your novel, where Total Views (Chapter) only counts all views on a chapter and Total Views (All) counts every time someone opens the page, be it the page with the synopsis/blurb or the stats. These views are also non-unique so everytime someone opens the page the view stat increases by one. And that also includes your own views. Everytime you reload the page it goes up by one.
Average Chapter Views is kind of self-explanatory, it's Chapter Views/Chapters.

TL;DR Neither of the stats are really accurate. They're still accurate enough to get an idea of how things are going, though.

Azrie and Rinne, thank you both so much! Both your explanations helped me understand it better :)
