Yes! Especially in Isekai stories, Definitely!

Chapters written from the natives point of view are often some of the best chapters in many isekai stories I've read. Especially chapters where they're are wondering about the isekai'ed characters and at times drawing some, rather hilarious conclusions about what they've seen and heard, not because they're really stupid or anything, but simply because they, being natives to that other world, are missing some info that is common knowledge for us readers...

If a reader cries because a particular passage is touching, then that's good. If a reader cries because the writing style is awful, then that's not good. That's an unintended effect.

Transitional devices prepare readers in between scenes. It's an art that also shows an author's dedication and diligence.

Some authors just use a blatant headline to indicate a change of PoV. Of course, that works, anyway ... the same way film script dialogue format works. They're too lazy to craft prose properly or just don't know any better, having been influenced, because quite a number of translations are done that way. (You know something's wrong with that underground industry when they idolize someone like Krytyk who can't get tag questions right.)

However, the sources (poorly labeled as raws--an artifact term from scanlations) often use speech nuances to hint who is speaking instead of explicitly naming them. Some of the original author's love is indeed lost in translation.

Everytime a PoV is switched, the author (if not lazy) and the reader (if not lobotomized) have to reestablish their bearings! If you're a talented enough author, then go ahead and carry your readers for a ride. If not, then please don't torture your readers.
