Docs Copy Paste Resulting In Large Spacing Between Lines

Yeah, kinda confused here. I write my stories in Google Docs, and so I just copy paste them onto the site.

Problem is, there's always this really large space between the lines (doesn't occur on mobile though) and it can get pretty annoying.

Is there a way to turn this feature off? Not a big fan of having to delete the blank spaces every time I try to post a chapter.

post it to somewhere like gramarly first, and then copy from there

It's because you use double enter on docs. Use only one and change the format to add space after paragraph.

Is it possible to copy paste a no spacing between lines?

Because I also want to use it

You can just use Word's replace function to switch between the two. ^p is one enter. ^p^p is two enters. Find and replace all.
Enable special expression on the options first though
