You mean why it's my favourite feature? Because it's underrated.
The feature to be able to report is crucial for anything that resembles a forum, that you turn to when order needs to be kept.

I've never actually reported anything, and doubt/hope I'll never need to.

There is a surprisingly high amount of threads that are made in the wrong subforums for some reason... I end up reporting them to have them moved to the proper places.
