How many chapters does your first 20,000 words take up?

I was curious to know how many chapters your first 20k words take up when you start writing a new novel.

Mine takes 7 chapters, prologue and disclaimer for 19k words, I'm thinking about reducing the word count by about half in the next releases, so I can have more chapters in the tab.

I was wondering if I was not writing a bit too much sometimes because all the webnovels I've read recently had plenty of chapters released but all with small words counts between 1,500 and 2,000 words

2k per chapter is considered the 'ideal', at least for SH. So ~10... But I didn't count my words initially, so it's more like 10-20 for me personally.

Mine was... 3-4 chapters? Maybe 5? I wrote like 8k words on chapter 4 so there's a lot...

I guess it depends on what I'm writing. if im writing my first two seires' then about 10 chaps. if im doing my newest, then not sure. the word count is quite random.

The first 20k words encompasses the first 8 chapters of my 2nd novel.

When I was writing 5k words per chapter it was like 4 chapters to reach 20k word count. 6-7 now since I write chapter at 2.5k to 3k words.
