How to find out if a story is generated by an Ai or written by someone

I found one novel (or Author, rather) that is obviously AI generated to the point it is felt. Audiobooks are, as far I could tell, professionally narrated, it doesn't seem like the mechanical text to speech, but the content itself seen some AI writing to the point I couldn't unsee it.
PocketFM uses AI for about half, maybe more, of its audio books. Sometimes it is obvious just by the way it pronounces some words (one my wife is listening to now, uses "Stifled" a lot and, every time, the reader says it as "stiff-eld" not "sty-feld"; another one had some VERY created and phonetic pronunciations of places in Massachusetts that only a resident would catch, and they would laugh at hysterically), or when the author ignored some of the advice like "Avoid contractions wherever possible" and "type out all numbers"

Two out of the four you listed, I've used myself... I believe (hopefully) you are not implying I'm an Ai but just because something is uncommon doesn't mean its Ai (referring to 'barely above a whisper' and 'otherwordly glow' although the otherwordly not pared with glow)

For the moment, you can tell if you analyze it enough. For the moment... Give it two more years, and we can have the convo again.
You can google the phrase "Barely above a whisper" and you can see people already complaining about bots saying that a lot. It's super common in AI assisted writings.
Otherworldly is fine but when paired with glow it does irritate me.

"TESTAMENT OF THE OTHERWORDLY GLOW JUST BELOW THE WHISPER!"

I even asked the AI to generate me a picture of this prompt. It will haunt you.

According to Our Lord and Savior:
From what I've seen so far from stories that were reported, you can usually tell that it's an AI novel if:
  • Characters changes from "he" to "she" occasionally
  • Character names randomly changes
  • Sentences doesn't connect well
There's probably a lot more but that's just what I can remember from the top of my head.

Just so you know the question I asked in the start of this chat is pure Ai generated prompt...I had to use two different Ai and several mind numbing retries to make it feel realistic

I am talking more about the Amazon sold audiobooks which, in my opinion, should have a certain level of professionalism in it

As far I know, there are only a couple of books which had been narrated by the AI, which is jarring since this is a subscription service, not a freemium model to cut cost. There were even a few books which obviously had AI writing in them.
