I'd say their master plan shouldn't be too enticing for the reader. If they make too much sense then the protagonist will look like the bad guy.
Did you watch Fate/Apocrypha? The "antagonist" there wanted to bring Elysium to all humans. Counterpoint was that this eternal happiness would mean stagnation for mankind. So the protagonist is giving their all to prevent this. Was a bit difficult to root for him.

If it's not about a master plan make their motivations reasonable, but not agreeable. Like, if he murders those who killed his family and had fun doing it, it's rather hard to argue against.

You could say they’re an antagonist instead of the villain then, and it’s morally gray. Arguably this is more intriguing. A similar example is Slay the Princess

You sure explained it well.

Started thinking about this last night and do whipped this up.

I'll be opening up a vote again on the community tab for people later today. If any topic you want, now's the time to ask as I've a couple of ideas.
Sorry marc to interrupt you.

But......
If you got time, could please......please please, be a little more active on forums and not simply "share" your videos. o_o":blob_teary:

I have nothing if you want to share stuff
or want others to see your videos (i watched some of them)
but LATELY, its the act of sharing them and "disappear" like a ghost, only to re-appear X days/weeks later for the same thing for a new video, is like : like a evil dragon demon coming to village to kidnap a villager or something.

Or to be more brutally honest, it feels as if your sole reason of usage of SHF is just for self-advertisement and giving 0 f to us. Its like a salaryman-door to sell product.

I know you are a good guy, others say you are good guy too, but please don't just come here to self-advertise..... :blob_teary:
You are probably busy, but at same time, if you are active elsewhere (discord/forum/whatever) focus to be there AND/OR try to be a little "more alive" here, and not "dumping it on us and ghosting us".:blob_teary:
