Have you perhaps wondered how these genre are written?
Or you just want to ride on the popular Yuri wagon?

Whether you want to understand how women thinks when they write these stories or just want to get trending,
Bro I got an answer to your problems!

(Don't listen to this guy, his having a fever dream rn...)

Its simple, all you have to do is imagine friendship with your bros without saying 'no homo'. (Warning: may tend to get 'weird' if one of you is not straight)

From a hugging to cuddling and quite possibly taking a bath together naked a friendship full of fluffiness, the only limit is not to get sexual! (I really warned you, I swear if you're bro confesses to you if you try it in rl...)

An example? Take a bathing scene from a Yuri as an example
In normal ones they usually don't do anything 'weird', they usually will talk about some private stuff and private parts- not the below but the upper ones where they compare it. And it's also a touchy and fluffy scene.

Now do you notice it? Yes, they are not so different with normal men experiences
The only difference is the distance of the bros because of 'no homo'. Now you can try it with you're bros irl so you can further visualize it.( Just take extra measure so no one will open to a 'new gate')

Now did you learn anything from it? (Of course nothing, you're just reading to someone's fever dream) Now you can try and see if you can easily visualize it and you might even become the new trending! ( Actually not, you might just create a monstrosity of a novel)

(Disclaimer: the above post is just OP's rambling, don't take seriously)
(Disclaimer 2: the OP don't know how to interact with others so there will be differences in perspective)
(Disclaimer: the OP is about to sleep before he posted this so he's definitely not in a right state of mind)

Now my take on this from the perspective of someone who actually writes a ton of Yuri.

Yuri has lots of weird touching and embarrassment from compliments. Women are very sensitive to talk about their bodies and generally are surprised when other women look at them sexually.
And yes it can get very sexual. Yuri for men tends to be FAR more sexual than Yuri for women.

Men like to imagine two women doing sexy stuff together, rubbing things and whatnot.
That's why Lesbian Porn sells so much. But being completely honest, 90% of what you describe in yuri for men is not nearly as pleasant for the people involved and is just a scene for the onlooker.

Yuri for women on the other hand has lots of sex,LOTS OF IT. but it's far more focused on details, touch, voice, hair, etc. Also you need to make sure they have a reason for it that fits the character personality, whereas in the aforementioned one anything goes.

Men are more straight to the point and want to both jack off and get blue-balled from the cute romance as a watcher that may one day possibly be part of a threesome.

Woman want to imagine themselves into that as one of them, being loved, feeling good, and making the other person feel the same way, whether in a vanilla relationship or a more power-game/sm one.

And please. Make decent smutty Yuri, that's a hard thing to come by. Even if you don't get that much recognition it's still worth it

Me, a male who writes 3 Yuri books and primarily always writes female-centered novels: “Interesting.”

All Yuri is, is one girl romantically lusting after another. Why make it more complicated than it is. Have girl pursue/kiss/screw other girl. Boom! Done. You now have Yuri.

And as for the "no homo" thing. It's fairly common knowledge that those who repetitively say that on a daily basis, usually end up confessing to being homosexual. That or are hiding it and refuse to admit to it. Though in my personal experience, most people I've known who said no homo constantly eventually came out as bisexual rather than full-on homosexual. Go figure.

Yo, lesbian here. Girls ain't some kinda alien species. When you're all like "girls do THIS but boys do THIS" it comes off as gender essentialist. It's 2021, loosen up!
Yeah thanks for the insights, now I can write my smutty Yuri :D

Actually what I wrote in this 'informative'(not) sh*tpost is my first take on Yuri when I encountered it

@pynkbites It's not that the girls are aliens but I am the alien
( I only have a few friends that are girls ;-;)

What you sell for either sex is inherently different. This is not a matter of Girls do X and boys to Y.
It's a matter of group behavior and insights. This is proven by one of my novels that has 98% female audience lol.
Genders react differently to different kinds of stimuli. It may be a social construction, I give 0 craps to why it's the way it is. It simply is the way it is.
I'm a Bissexual genderfluid bla bla bla if we want to speak in non gender-essentialist terms. I just don't care about these post-mod labels.
