Is it awesome to murder your relatives or something?

"Its for the greater good."

No, buddy, the greatest good is my own Life.

Please don't kill me!

Well, maybe Itachi only killed those rebels who wanted to take the clan down with their sickness.

His mom and dad preferred being killed by his hand.

In this case, he would be quite heroic; digging a way out for Uchiha against terrible odds.

I thought you were talking about Itasha, those weebificated cars... But instead, you're just talking weeb without cars.

Anyway, the only character in Naruturd making sense is... wait, none of them actually make much sense!

you see, naruto suffers from simplified complexity. it's much easier to write a clan when their is only 1 member left, just look at the stupidity on the hyuga clan thinking sending the wrong head would stop the war.

pretty much any strong fighter, apart from 3rd hokage, is the last of their clan, but their needs to be a reason for them to be the last, thus the author used the power of retcon to confuse everyones brains into mush, hoping people will forget about logic.

itachi is liked because danzo exists. danzo exists to justify all the villains focusing on konoha...so the protagonist can ignore what his village did to them because the village also did it to him aswell...

As someone who wrote a Naruto fanfic before, I can say that Naruto is full of plot holes, which make it a fucking mess to reorganize. Its overloads my brain.

a valid point.
But I believe it's more about him being an interesting character than likeable or morally acceptable. His motivations may be riddiculous - well, what is not riddiculous in Naruto? - but its enough to make him intresting-tragic-evil in the context of Itachi being presented as a villain for most part.
Such characters tent to be popular in general.

He did something good for the village, but the village doesn't deserve it to be honest, he should have saved his family instead. Naruto should have leave this village and become part of the akatsuki to destroy it.

the entire coupe success relied on 2 kids under the age of 12....and those 2 kids where given to the enemy to freely brainwash.

fugaku did nothing purely because the clan needed to die.

:blob_sir: As a fellow Naruto fanfic author I must agree. The plot holes are remarkable, which makes it's success even more astounding. Living proof that plot is secondary. But you can't outrun plot forever. The day will come your house of cards collapses.

indeed. Plot becomes tertiary when you enter the realm of smut, which most of the works on SH seem to be. This is evident by the relative success of my first story. I reread it the other day and... I couldn't stop cringing at how bad the damned this was. Pretty much every word was terrible. but the smut scenes were vibrant and vivid, so I'm kind of surprised at how well it did. I'm hoping the rewrite is half as well off, considering it'll be better planned and more thought out.

:blob_cookie: I repeat, any story without a proper plot will eventually implode and combust. But you might get rich and famous on the way there, if you manage to ride the wave long enough. But your mistakes will eventually surface.

I stopped caring about Naruto when Sasuke was given a big ole happy pat on the back and basically absolved of everything he did. I will never watch Boruto. Sarada should not exist and Sasuke should not have been allowed to reproduce. He should've been permanently disabled and then imprisoned for life. Or executed. Whichever. But Naruto said please and so political corruption worked it's magic. The Uchiha menace should have died with Sasuke. Most of everything that went wrong in Naruto could be laid at the feet of one Uchiha or another.

The Second Hokage had the right idea. They should've listened. If they had, the world of Naruto would've been more boring yes...but certainly safer in the long run.

As for plot holes, the one that always aggravated me the most is WHAT THE HELL happened to the Senju Clan? There were what...hundreds of them when Hashirama became Hokage? Maybe even a little over a thousand since they and the Uchiha were supposedly the strongest/biggest clans of their day. How did they all just vanish in what had to be no more than 30-40 years story timeline wise? When the Third took over they were just gone. I mean NOBODY got busy? Bullshit.

People like Itachi cause he's the cool and mysterious older brother... Just ignore the part about murdering his whole family and traumatizing his little brother...

3rd hokage got danzo to kill them by selling information to enemy villages. they had too much political power to keep alive

That's definitely not canon, but cool theory anyway. I don't believe the Third would do that though. I can see Danzo somehow being involved though. Still doesn't explain the lack of Senju children unless Danzo has his Root guys killing the orphans after killing their parents.
