I will try my best to respond to a majority of posts in this discussion and give advice as both a reader and writer

People of the world have gamed the system, so aristocrats control the best areas for leveling up and gaining treasures, leaving the poorer places for the regular citizens, and the poorest for non-citizens.
Wars are fought over dungeons to control the resources.
The most successful countries have families that are insanely high level, and they control everything with an iron fist. If a challenger gets high enough to challenge them, they can call out a small army of top level fighters, spies, assassins, mages, etc, who all have the same goal.

i was planning to do a story where this really popular dude (you know, your average blonde haired Ikeman)who is surrounded by a harem of beauties in his school, is fed up with all the constant fighting over his attention and just wants to laze around and play games. So, one day, after taking solace at his best friend's house, he suddenly gets a bright idea: Having his friend seduce all the women who're in love with him so they leave him alone!

I doubt its a very original idea at all, but i love rom coms and netori and the ones with similar plots never really lay it thick with the sweet words and stuff. The playboy factor is abysmal. So, i gotta do it myself

A mute pink haired woman protects her young daughter as they travel the country. Government people attempt to capture the both of them, and they use other pink haired people to try and capture them. They move with thoughtful insanity toward their destination, wherever that may be.

This is mainly inspired by the shows like the lone ranger, where a lone warrior that rarely speaks goes from place to place solving problems, then moving on somewhere else. It starts episodic at first, but gets more and more plot heavy as the story goes on.

MC's body was preserved through cryogenic by the government for their ultimate project (still thinking what kind of project would they gonna do) and the time limit for it is 100 years. After the MC's preservation, the government was being exposed by their inhumane projects and was force to cancel all other projects and the MC was forgotten. 1,000 years has passed and some unknown android found the MC's cryo capsule and he was awaken by his slumber.


Still thinking of the upcoming events that's why I need to read a decent amount of sci-fi mangas and novels. For now, that's the plot that's been stored in my brain for a long time lol

In the world of Marvel's X-Men, Magneto has a cousin who is also a mutant.
This cousin wants to stand up to the powerful governments that oppress mutant-kind. He wants to go on the attack and stand along side his mutant brothers.
However his power..... Is that he turns things magenta colored.
He is MAGENTO!
The story would center on him doing petty vandalism, and small crimes in the name of justice. Eventually he would come to the realization that he is basically just an average joe, and comes to terms with himself. Instead of using his powers, he decides to help out mutants in a more normal way.
Not everyone can save the world, but we can all help to make it a better place

A very simple isekai story. The protagonist is in effect a space trucker specializing in FTL super-heavy hauls. He has a small fleet of guide ships and an armed escort. His current load is a colony ship due for retrofit into a luxury villa for a space trillionaire. A negative space wedgie flings him and his fleet into orbit above your isekai setting #1: medieval kingdom doomed by Antichrist/Armageddon.

The main crux of the story is the fact the planet has a huge untapped fuel supply they could use to get home. It will just take months to get into it, months they don't have. This is on top of the fact that a massive colony ship doesn't go unnoticed when it appears in the night sky, and contact attempts begin immediately. The story would follow our space trucker as he and his crew get fueling stations set up using the colony ship's resources. It would also follow the efforts of an eclectic bunch of natives to beseech the offworlders for help. The story would end with an orbital bombardment on Satan and the evacuation of the last remnants of the kingdom.

The other story idea was even simpler. Seven million, seven hundred seventy-seven thousand, seven hundred and seventy seven (7777777, precisely) magical masks that manifest inner power. Possessing a Magical Mask makes you into a magician while wearing it. They can't be replicated or destroyed. When the bearer dies, it relocates to a new bearer. Our protagonist keeps his possession of a mask secret... mostly because he uses his Magical Mask to play petty pranks and satisfy his grudges. He is very suddenly thrust into the role of mentorship when the girl he likes acquires one. He is even more suddenly thrust into heroics when a gang of masked ne'er-do-wells wreaks havoc in his town. Thus, he has to change up his entire approach to life in order to save his town and get the girl.

A teacher disrespects students and wastes their time with off-topic lectures. One student's mom talks to the student at home and agrees the teacher's behavior is too disruptive to the learning environment. She helps her son set up an independent study plan for the topic. Her son forms a study group with some classmates who also want to drop the course. Word quietly spreads, and more students form their own study groups. The next time the teacher gives an annoying off-topic lecture, the entire class walks out.

Please steal this idea if you like it, because I don't have time or energy to flesh it out while running after my toddler. Change the gender of the student and/or parent if you want.

The Isekai Council of Gods are trying to kill this one guy to reincarnate him as their world's hero, but fail on multiple occasions because the guy was simply too good at evading their trucks. Then eventually, came the Evil Gods who wants to kill that guy also to reincarnate him as the Demon King of the same world.

That's my idea which I will probably never do. Use it as you wish.

I’ve had 2 ideas I’ve longed to write or read yet lack the skill and willpower to. Also not a writer but maybe someone can gain some inspiration or something.

Spoiler

The first follows a villainous girl who’s engaged to the male lead who is a reincarnator. She’d be the illegitimate daughter of a duke. Her brother would be the actual ideal shoujo prince type character who’s also the heir. But due to a rough childhood she just hates him. The reincarnator would be like a 3rd prince or something.

The general idea is to have her act as a decent fiancé and perfect noble. And because the reincarnator isn’t smart he tells her all his shit. But because she’s acting like the ideal noble girl she just has to listen to all the shit he spews while silently criticizing and memorizing to possible exploit later. Also could include him doing stupid stuff by himself or realizing his own general incompetence.

The ending being her eventually scheming to turn everyone against him and have him executed without anyone realizing it’s her doing. Also possibly killing or banishing her brother to take over the dukedom.

Possible plot points:

Reincarnator:
Try’s to make Japanese stuff and it fails because he doesn’t know how to make soy sauce or mayonnaise. Can’t find rice or grow it in the world either.
Makes Japanese food and dislikes it cause his tastebuds have changed.
Try’s to compare currencies based on 1 item and then gets scammed by a merchant.
Try’s to be cool and learn magic or swordsmanship but his procrastination skills from the previous world still exist so he fails.
Fails nobles etiquette.
Acts like a creep cause he never learned to interact properly
Thinks he’s the protagonist and does other stupid things.
Writes books which fail miserably because reincarnator doesn’t have a perfect memory and bad writing skills

Villainess:
Frames father - possibilities like hiring bandits or not paying right amount in taxes
Kills her people after using them so they don’t share yet actively recruits more secretly with the promise of money for their families
Bribes maids to share info on her brother and father
Acts like the ideal noble
Kills anyone who becomes engaged to her after inheriting dukedom to cause it to fall after enjoying it
Slowly kills, causes accidents for, and spreads rumors about her brother and his friends


Ideally written like Tricked into a new life, God must be screwing with me. The style of having not everything go right yet everything being well thought out would be better for this type of story. No romance or GL as a bonus. Also no OP magic or god bs if it’s included

Girl lives in a fantasy world with espers. Everyone has their own power with more than one power being common. People with multiple powers won’t have powers that contradict and many will have powers that can work together. Most are utterly useless or extremely circumstancial.

Follows a girl who has some kind of hiding sneaking based power set. Not undetectable obviously. In school she’s quite and get bullied but is also super pretty. Her mothers a fashion model who’s often not around and rather cold. Some guy asks her out and although she doesn’t like him she’s too socially awkward to reject. Seems like it’s working out alright until he r*pes her or tries to kill her (whatever fits best) and she near breaks becoming a hater of men and blaming herself to some extent yet also being angry at the world for not helping.
(Idk what would actually cause that but I wanted the vibe to be something similar.)

Her mother approaches her and offers her a path to revenge and to not being taken advantage of again. She finds out her mother is secretly an assassin and she learns from her. She quickly finds out most of her job isn’t action packed with buildings exploding due to esper abilities but rather filled with plotting and planning. Learning schematics, eating habits, times leaving work, esper abilities, friends in the area, etc. The story would be about all the interesting things she has to try and account for with her missions rarely encountering things that she has to change the plan for. would follow her journey to perfect her craft with revenge happening pretty early on. Bonus of slowly becoming more confident and overcoming her mental issues caused by the earlier event.

Also no romance or GL.

The sounds like a great idea but the story can vary widely based on the protagonist (ie if they are a poor middle class or an aristocrat) but I would recommend that you make a solid foundation on what leveling up actually does. Does it make them smarter , stronger , faster or even all three? Or does it have a chance of adding skills depending on how one defeats leveling up areas?
I have seen similar ideas but they have usually fallen flat or dropped due to the struggle of having the mc and friend still having a good character dynamic throughout and not just transforming into "Best Friend Steals Harem , How do I Save It?" but for this type of idea I would really focus on build-up chapter maybe 5-10 of building up the friend and the main character's relationship while also showing the struggle the friend has due to his harem before the idea starts being introduced. BTW I can't stress this enough, this has to be a slow burn manga or else it would leave the characters feeling empty. But otherwise I like the concept. C:

The idea sounds really unique and a protag that has communication problems can always cause for interesting dynamics but for the story I would recommend explaining why the woman are evading the government while also not telling the full story. A general idea could be the mother deciding where they are going next but never truly tells her daughter causing suspicions to be raised for the readers but not the daughter who trusts her mother. But that is just my opinion

The story seems interesting but truthfully without a concrete idea of the ultimate project it is hard to give idea's because it could range all the way from a hyper intelligent mc slowly taking over the world or an mc who doesn't even know their was an experiment to begin with but has psychic powers that he can't control. But the concept does need more fleshing out before any chapters get worked on. I would recommend maybe having the mc be one of a few individuals who were sent under this process and him being the last to awaken causing good and easy ways to add mentors , lancers and other archetypes without a ton of explanation before hand.

Sounds like a great comedy fanfiction especially exploring how various other mutants take to the weakest of all of them having the biggest aspirations but I do think it could get boring very quick if you don't slowly make drama. (example) Magento meets a wild thug with a knife and he has to use his power to just confuse his enemy to run away. But truthfully I don't know much about mutants so this is all the advice I can give

This is an common but underused idea but in order for it to be done correctly the demon lord must have a GOOD reason, this could be him taking over the world due to him having a poor upbringing and wanting to live in luxury to him being a combination of all the evil sins done by humans in the past. But otherwise neat idea
I believe in you and if you want some advice you are happy to post here. I hope to keep this thread active as it not only gives me and other writers inspirations but pointing out flaws on someone else's idea can more easily help you point out your own.

I really like this idea.
I'd recommend making him being alone. Either most of the escort doesn't go with him and he's only left with the automated drones, or the escorts are all drones to begin with. This will challenge him more, as he struggles to ensure the drones aren't all destroyed by the weird magic. He'll also be more willing to invite some of the doomed people onto the ship, just so he has someone to talk to.

Truthfully I do not read much Isekai but the mc not being from modern times is very refreshing but truthfully when I was reading this summary Satan came out of nowhere and left hooked my train of thought but the relations between the mc's company and the nations of the world would be very interesting but you must be careful and not make the plotting nations so obvious, make it a guessing game for the readers and mc which could add some tension and provide a way to put the antichrist aspects into the story seemlessly after some worldbuilding.

Secondly the magical masked story seems interesting especially as it seems to be set in the same time period as modern day which could provide very interesting dynamics but in order for the story to pop I would recommend for you to be specific on what being a true magician does to the user. Does it make magic tricks real or does it just turn mc into a wizard or does each mask has it's own gimmick it resides over but I do find this dynamic interesting as long as the girl actually gets character development and not shoved to aside and used as either plot or eye candy. But otherwise I really like the idea, if you ever write it please send me the link I would love to read it.

truthfully not to be rude but this seems less like an entire story but more of a short 5-10 chapter novel which truthfully could be quite fun to write as a way to relieve tension as the plot won't get to thick or complicated.
