Writing Prompt Low-cost Cultivation

So, I was wondering, in a lot of cultivation novels, the MC always seem to have really expensive requirements.

So I thought: what if it's the reverse? The MC could advance their cultivation with lower cost than even ordinary cultivators?

That's why, even with limited resources, they can advance leaps and bounds. They can replenish themselves with much lesser spiritual energy and pills as well. If you want, you can also add that their cultivation time is lower and the comprehension is a lot easier.

As a result, they might be weaker than the same realm, or probably still retain the average strength at least. They might not always be the strongest, but they can play the strong cards with lower cost and use their flexibility to do plays no one else can.

What do you think a character with low-cost cultivation method will do?
