Just a fun little test to see what people will come up with when they see this image.
Touka Katsuki, a teen in the age of 17, a small cog in the machine, in a world with logic-defying powers.
He's unordinary. He never was.
By the time toddlers crawl, he sees translucent blue lines inside of people. As they grew, so does he and the lines.
Those lines are mana, only the higher species can see and fiddle around with them. A little touch from an infant of a dragon kin can damage the line, one careful bent from an elf can cure one's sickness, a bump to the lines from a demon can cause a severe blunt trauma, paralization, and a tiny chance of death.
Hence why those races learns how to not mess one's mana lines unintentionally. After that, they learn how to fix the mana lines as accidents occurred often affects countless mana lines to be damaged. Then, they learn how to control one's mana and flow it to every part of one's body, healing them.
These races intentions are all kind; They only want peace with the Humans.
And so, the Humans Bond with them. They live on each other's sides, all nice, no ill intentions.
That was the past.
Now, two more powerful race appears.
The Superhuman, masters of gunsmith and alchemy, and the...
...
The... Satan.
Ruthless.
Reckless.
Merciless.
Unbound from heaven.
Ignored by hell.
Worst title of them all, they're one to ignite chaos.
They don't just fix mana, they destroy it. They wave their hands and deeds wherever they want and whenever they want. They know no laws, and they have enough power to break them. They're abandoned by hell, despised by the gods. Mother nature doesn't want to glance once at them once. Food rots in front of them, water dries upon their touch, and yet... They thrive.
They adapted, improving beyond even the most adaptive race of the world, the Humans. They blend in with the crowds, hidden in plain sight, none gaze a suspicion at them.
So, they play gods in the modern world. They gain fame, power, wealth, all that from scratch. No good odds but commitment that puts them on the top of the world. They never mate with other races, they mate with their own people, keeping their bloodline pure.
Thus, an incident happened. A Satan mated with a female dragon.
And so, Touka was born.
The skies are blue once. Now, it stays crimson.
