Need Writers for Open source Visual Novel

I am part of a development team for a open source collective called Liberation Group (found on github here: https://github.com/liberation-group/graphite )
The story is a highschool romance with 5 routes based on club activities and a canon OTP with the MC's childhood friend/crush. The story is branching with a good, good, and neutral ending for each route. There is a rival mechanic, and the story has the potential to get very dark depending on the choices made.

We currently have a playable alpha (available on github) for the first 2 chapters.

We are looking for writers to help flesh out the story routes. All characters have been created, but there is room for creative license on some of the routes (excluding rival, mc, and main girl). The project was started with a desire to "make choices matter" so we are looking to make a sweet and wholesome romance, but if you mess up, prepare to enter the dark side of h-tags.

The plot as is stands is all the clubs are trying to put together a showcase for the end of year festival to save a community space. MC joins a club, some clubs have his crush and a new girl, allowing for romantic triangles. A rival will attempt to sabotage the MC's group, or in some routes, attempt to steal his girl. How the mc navigates and or solves the issues thrown his way, dictates the ending.

current clubs are: Art club, Film Club, Music club, Gardening Club, Cooking Club, Student Committee.

Writing samples are appreciated, familiarity with visual novels and scripting is also a plus. This is an open source project, and will be released free, so we have no money. You will receive a writing credit/link to personal website in the stories credits and on Github.

Open source does not mean free - is it going to be a free game (as in completly free, no premium paid versions, no microtransactions etc) ? And yes, I can see its source code is under GPL, I'm pretty sure you can charge for GPL software.

As in free with donations. It will be released for free, no micro-transactions, maybe a paid release on steam, but still to avoid legal issues, a download link will be provided. Details are being ironed out still, but the project was initiated with the idea it would not be monetized. We are looking for people willing to operate under the expectation that it will not be monetized, with later compensation being a possibility and a fair split of earnings being decided at the time of release and prior to hosting on a paid application like steam.

TL;DR its free, and was always meant to be free. If when we finish, we put it on steam and someone decides not to read and download the free version, we'll do rev share

Honestly, what the hell am I doing?

Will be interesting to see those two groups compete against each other in one game depending on the protagonist's set gender and playable role as Support Type Role, Background Type Role, Main Leading Role, and Opposition Type Roles.

Will allow open-minded role play setting.
