each reader can choose a default page & text color

it would be good, since sometimes you can immerse easier

though if the author has adjusted the text color, cancel reader adjustment-autonomy on that page - perhaps an author can turn the feature off on his chapter or novel

There is already a dark mode and a light mode. That's good enough.
Haven't you ever wanted
white text
midnight blue background?

or read an adventure novel with light blue text on grey

No. It's unnecessary.
Mah, maybe you wouldn't find it necessary
But I would, not that it's unpleasant sans it

Consider the big picture, would SH be more interesting if people could read in colors they sense would best match a story experience

My best friend agrees. She's picky about the exact shades of gray she wants while reading stuff so it's easy on the eyes. She has very sensitive eyes and doesn't like high contrast.

On RoyalRoad, you can purchase a premium membership to customize your borders, story banner, etc.

They could have someone similar on here, which allows you to pick the color of your background.

Idk.

Ah, but the server or software may not enjoy the extra stuff
