More specifically, I've noticed that my author signature inside of forums keeps getting forcibly put into a spoiler button, without me doing a thing to put it in there. Clearly, a moderator or sorts is doing this, likely to reduce some clutter. Understandable.
However, I'm not so sure I approve of somebody basically hiding my signature in every single forum post I put out, while others can have theirs always display. I've mentioned before that I wanted a feature that either: enables normal display of the signature by default only on first thread posts or first replies to existing threads (to then be condensed after the first comment on future replies) | Or, have a toggle option (like we see on RR) where in every first post or any reply, a tick mark can be checked whether or not to display the signature (or display a secondary signature set in a spoiler tag). When it comes down to decreasing the clutter, I actually agree with the idea of condensing the signature into a single button.
But sadly, many do not click those buttons if they do not initially see the covers and so do not interact with them. I'm kind of torn between asking what to do and asking to not have the signature touched, because I'm sure I already know why. It does expand to a large vertical space after all.
Is there any resolution for this that I have not already thought of? If no site features are to be updated, I can only think of one way to satisfy a bit of both issues, to a threshold. Let me know what I should do.
