I made a Villanelle before.

It was a lot of work. Maybe I'll post my example if people care.

Definition/Rhyme Scheme:
  • 19-line poem
  • 2 repeating refrains (A1, A2)
  • 5 tercets + 1 quatrain (see below)

  1. A1 - b - A2
  2. a - b - A1
  3. a - b - A2
  4. a - b - A1
  5. a - b - A2
  6. a - b - A1 - A2
It's very sing-song-y and lyrical if you ever come across one/try to write one.

Quite challenging but fun if you manage to pull one off.

Peace out.

(P.S. - *huggles for @Nahrenne *)

...Reading this makes me feel bad. I've written poems but have no idea upon what type they are or anything. It's good that you now your stuff!
