Random Recommendation

How about a random recommendation reel? Is it a good idea? Hoping to give small authors like me an additional chance of discoverability. Because other than shameless self-promotion and update days, we don't get much exposure. (Works the same with already well-known works but they already have an upwards view count)
I believe this would also solve the issue of already completed works. (The one where people ask, how about my completed novels? They won't ever see the light, etc...)
Is it plausible?
