Rex's Daily Tip #557 (Other): If you own a car, remember to change the oil frequently or else don't be surprised when your car engine dies on you (price of a new engine is sometimes the price of getting a new car). :blob_popcorn:

However, nowadays, your average vehicle only needs oil changes every 5-6000 miles (~8-9.6k km)— don't be fooled by those car places trying to have you come back every 3000 miles (~5k km); they just want your monies.

*You should subscribe and give Rex your monies instead.

On a side note, this color is a bit hard to read on light mode.

Sure, yellow is the color that the eyes perceive first, but why would anyone think it's a good idea to have yellow subtitles on a white background?

On a sidenote, yellow submarines go down well with soda ... and torpedoes.

now that's a worthy question to explore. what's the fucken reason behind yellow subtitles at all? it's like the only kind of subtitles you find on bootleg pirated dvds you buy off the creepy old guy with half his teeth in the night market. aren't subtitles supposed to be informative but uninterruptible to the action on screen as much as possible?

Rex's Daily Tip #721 (Texas): Austin, the capital of Texas, is a great city to live in if you:
  • Love great food* 🍜🌮🥩
  • Love great music** 🎙🎛🎷
  • Work in the health or tech sectors*** 🧬📈💻
  • Are a millennial or feel young at heart**** 🚼🍻🍷
  • Love the outdoors***** 🎣🥾🛶
*See postscript.
**SXSW, ACL are huge and attract crowds from all over; the local and live music scene is also huge as many artists are trying to get discovered here.
***Vastly growing fields. Especially tech. Dubbed the ‘The New Silicon Valley.” A startup haven.
****Bar and club scene is wild. 6th street is quite infamous famous and always packed.
*****Spelunking in the bat caves, kayaking at Lady Bird Lake, hiking at Palmetto State Park, chillaxing at Barton Springs, etc. etc.

P.S. - If you ever visit, Franklin Barbecue should be added to your bucket list (beware of the wait time) because it is one of the best BBQ places in the country (NPR’s words not Rex’s. Rex is not biased. Rex is bias-less.) :blob_sir:
P.P.S. - Rex used to work in the same office as the owner’s mom back in uni; ‘twas a nice perk.

Rex's Daily Tip #670 (Life): Do what makes you happy. Life is too short to be doing things that make you sad and miserable.* :blob_nom:

On the flip-side, you have to be practical.** :blob_catflip:

*For example, Rex could have been an engineer because even though he hated math, he was pretty decent at it. But he knew working with numbers/systems/machines all day would suck *ss for him, and he'd quit after maybe five years in the industry. In addition, Rex could have made big money doing investment banking/finance/etc. but knew he would immediately lose his soul within a year of that industry. :blob_ghost:
**What would make Rex truly happy would be to have his own studio and be able to produce mix-tapes and tracks all day. But Rex does not want to be homeless on the streets, so Rex went to uni instead. :blob_pout:

Why didn’t make a big buck in finance first, then open your studio? :blob_neutral:

And what am I doing now? The things that make happy are making me sad and miserable rn. :blob_teary:

Why? Because Rex knows himself, and he would lose his soul aka become a mindless capitalistic dbag after making the big bucks and before opening the studio. Then, he would never be Rex again. Which is sad in its own way. :blob_pat_sad:

Yes please. 🥺🥺🥺

P.S. - There's a cafe that has mochi icecream nearby-ish. Maybe Rex should visit...
Update: Rex went to the cafe but only got coffee because ice cream would mean Rex would need to workout again later today. Anyway, the coffee is very good. :blob_sir:

mochi mochi anone

@tiaf, don't worry. Be happy. Happiness is contagious so be sure to catch it! >,<

Earth, where there are filthy rich and dirt poor is actually under the mercy of insects. Humans just treat it as fiction like Lovecraftian lore. Tall tales are true.

The tip of the iceberg is in the eating.
The proof of the pudding is underneath.

The ice in the coffee was made with pure undiluted tap water.
To the key to the eek! (some weird mtl text)

*Cue the beginning of LitRPG novel where Earth becomes incorporated into multiverse, post-apocalyptic setting, and somehow cultivation is thrown in there bc why not.* :blob_blank:

LitRPG, genre pioneered by russian D. Rus. Probably.

Three years later some rando schmuck (Aleron Kong) wanted to trademark the term, publicly to protect it from the russians, privately coz he's a selfish bastard.

People were annoyed. Gamelit term emerged.

I don't like it. It sounds like game lite. Doesn't have the charm of Lit-R-P-G.

Don't be sad, Arexio. Insects are people, too. Some people are insects, too. In cultinovs, you often read the heroic/villainous declaration You're an ant.

The more you know. meme.jpg 🌈

Lmao. Cultivation novels are so wild.

One of Rex's favorite LitRPG/VRMMORPG novels is Praise the Orc (PtO); though it reads less like traditional LitRPG and more fantasy-esque.

Rex thinks PtO is one of the few novels where the prologue is done well. Most webnovels' prologues are either full of dense, esoteric lore or are completely extraneous and unneeded.

That is Rex's humble opinion. Remember, Rex has no biases; Rex is bias-less. :blob_sir:
