We've all seen stories that are so bad they are actually good, but how about stories that are so frustrating that they are actually good?
I've read a couple stories like this online, where on the inside I feel like the story is really pissing me off, the ways the characters act and just... are, are just so, so annoying and the general flow makes me want to bite my fingernails off, but they still made me come back for more, like a sick form of self-harming, self-torturing addiction and for a while now, I've been thinking of writing a story like that, but I can't really catch the vibe, you know? That magical feeling, that little thing that makes those stories good with how frustrating they are, instead of just being frustrating.
Good examples come from this site's sister site, novel updates:
Loli Elf & Her Happy Life
Complicating Love
Though, the second is frustrating to a much lesser extent and I do understand that what I find good or frustrating may not be your good or frustrating
How would you go about writing a story like that?
