I can write very fast and get a 100K novel done within a few months once motivated enough... However my English is so poor the writing borders on incomprehensible and to this day full of errors. I can barely read and understand what I wrote. I also like to think Im great at dialogue just my plot is me herding cats until it looks vaguely like the one in my head....

It doesn't

I don't really understand how humans think, so my characters end up being either too forced or too flat or simply inconsistent and there are few of them.
Tell me about it. In my case, it's less about understanding how humans think (since some of them are based off my own thought process) but in dialogue. A lot of my dialogue, I feel, seem dry because they're mostly "purpose-centric" in a sense that they exist primarily to advance the plot and move the story instead of showing character or voice like what they're supposed to do (at least that's what I remember from some writing group/class before)

My greatest strength is probably the fact that I'm a genuine article "discovery writer." (Otherwise known as a 'pantser' in the common vernacular among writers.) A lot of people claim to be pantsers, but really they are just too lazy to plot even though they really are the type who needs to. I am also, almost by consequence, very good with characterization and I have a broad range of history and politics knowledge to inform my writing.

My weakness is self promotion, and also self motivation. I have combated the self motivation problem and prevented it from becoming procrastination by keeping myself to a strict 1 chapter per week schedule, but I have no real solution for the self promotion issue. Maybe I just need to learn better how some other authors do it so I can stop just relying on the off chance I might hit the trending list.

I don't know you, but based on your comments that I see in my almost-year here, you do seem quite well read.

I assure you there are people into scats.
Scat yes, shitty af writing that feel like it is written by the legendary invisible dragon writer... oh yeah there are people enjoying that as well. But I am not a M so no, I don't like it when people are having fun mocking me.

And yes, I am that kind of butthurt writer who will delete the entire story with just a 1* and an insult.

The purpose-centric dialogue... in my mind everyone else is writing wonderful lines of witty and interesting dialog. And here I am just moving a plot...

I am not sure if my own assessments are accurate, but most of my readers have been praising me on character development and depth. Which came as a pleasant surprise for sure.

My weakness (apart from the standard set of procrastination quirks) would most likely be the ability to delve into new styles and characters. Any scene that I've had no solid background in takes me a painfully long time to research. The same happens with characters - the further they are away from my standard way of thinking longer it takes for me to settle in of their design. With some characters taking a whole week of mulling around and writing only to delete everything afterwards. But, once the foundation is set - they roll.

I like to make a new story draft when I think I'm gonna love it, but never finish it, and my ongoing novels.

Strength: I am very imaginative. I come up with amazing ideas and incredible scenarios. I can take you into a whole new world full of adventure!

Weakness: I can't come up with an idea people actually want to read. :s_frown: (I guess promotion fits into this).

my greatest strength so far is probably writing pornographic stories. in ao3 there's even a 20k+ views difference between the normal ones and lewd ones. i did have a pretty weird fetish though.

the thing is, i can't really write them consistently. it's really based on my mood and i prefer to write non-sexual scenarios unless i can naturally insert the lewd ones.

while i can imagine and feel the lewdness directly, i'm also kinda weak on describing them. i'm personally not a fan of highly-descriptive smuts either. i prefer to focus on the feeling and just pouring out my kinkiness.

i'm also weak on describing het relationships since i'm not a fan of them. that's why when writing male protagonists, i don't want to add any romance since it'd suck. while i mainly focus on girl x girl pairing, i don't read those kind of stories that much. i think i mostly read power fantasy stories with little to no romance.

though my biggest weakness is that my stories are probably hard to understand for anyone other than myself. i couldn't stick into one idea when writing and just wing everything based on my mood. that makes even the simplest plots i got a bit more complex than expected. even my head hurts when trying to summarize what happened so far in my stories.

I feel this. I often find my biggest walls are descriptions. I enjoy writing them, and like to imagine them, but trying to make concrete designs and spaces and then conveying it to words is always so intimidating. It doesn't help that I'm not that great at drawing so making references is hard too. But yeah, once I hit the style it feels like I just cruise once I know where I'm going with it.

Strengths: grammar and English.

Weaknesses: everything else

For boys romance as long as you give them a lover anyone would be happy (at least for me), plus points if they're yan. Boys (me) almost always think they are not liked. The girl is just using them, she's just being nice. Self doubt in general. Which is why yandere is best. You should write yandere, you should write yan. I think you should definitely write yan. Write yan.

Hmm, don't know :blob_popcorn_two: I still need more feedback first :blob_popcorn: hehe.

Whatever my writing strengths and weaknesses may be, I hope someone is kind enough to tell me :blob_hide:.

The stories I write already finished storylines, characters, and important events in my head, but my lack of experience in writing causes me to not properly transfer these things into words. Also, my grammar is kinda bad.

Greatest Strength? I dunno, I guess I'm good at making drama in my stories? Or at least I think I am~

Greatest Weakness is probably that I procrastinate too much, but I'm working on that~

I have amazing ideas, great character archetypes, etc. but I am unable to commit myself to write more than a chapter or sometimes two.
